 I wanted to put helmets in the title of this thread but I thought it was best not to...

I wonder if you guys had any strange or different means of displaying your loose figures?

I will be and always have displayed characters with detachable helmets either holding the helmet or by the feet on the protech stand because on there is a chance of damage, especially figures like Luke stormy, if someone ever picks that up to have a look and decides to take the hat off he could end up with a shorter nose ! LOL

How about weapons? Action packed stances or gun in hand and hand down by the side?

Discuss , show pictures whatever you want 8)

Starting with the new display stance of my Leia Poncho , helmet in hand, gun now in the holster (you may have seen the thread on RS- I really didn't know that!)

Leia Endor has her helmet on.
Leia Boussh has her helmet on.
Lando Skiff has his helmet on.
Luke Stormie has his helmet on the deck between his legs.
All figs with blasters/bows/axes/gaffi sticks etc are holding them.
All chaps with rifles have them over their right shoulders - ATAT Driver / Commando / Luke Hoth / etc
R2 has his pop up showing slightly, and his periscope up.
FX-7 has his neck up - with the aid of a paperclip hidden behind.
Vader, Luke & Ben have there sabers exposed
C3P0 has his cargo net over his shoulders - did think of putting it on Chewie
Salacious Crumb is sitting on Jabba's tail
Hans carbonite block is stood up directly behind him.

God how sad of me!

Nice! LOL I didn't expect such a detailed response lol, all rifles over the right shoulder, I never thought about having it uniform like that actually , probably works!

What about Vader/Ben/Leia/Tusken capes, neck line folded, straight up or just as they come?

Leia Poncho , helmet in hand

This is also very logical. Now why didn't I think of that.

I always new she had stubble lol

I personally dont display my figures with their helmets in their hands, i much prefer them on the floor, ot wedged under their arm/hand looks much cooler (excuse the innuendos in that)

Here are shots of some of my loose figures showing how they are posed.

(Pretty similar to Del's methods actually)

Cheers. You saved me typing this up  Are you sure you are not talking about my set up? :D Exactly the same with the exception of the paperclip - that is used to tame my Emporers Royal Guards cape at the back.

This is also very similar to my set up apart from i have the rifles over the left shoulder. Forthe vinyl capes i have a few up and a few down - this is more to do on how i bought them but i prefer it with the hoods up. The luke jedi cape i have the hood up.

Cant wait to see what you decide to do Joe.

Here is how mine are displayed :)
I don't think I really gave much thought before about helmets. I have them all displayed with helmets on except Luke Stormtrooper. I imagine my thinking was then it would just look like another stormtrooper on the shelf instead of Luke. Where as the others you can still tell who the character is since that outfit is unique to them. As far as vinyl capes go, I like mine folded down. I believe most of mine came that way when I bought them.

Nice Shawn, I always liked your display cabinet!

There is a guy on RS who has his loose figures up against the sides and back of his cabinet with all the weapons in a pile in the middle, LOL each to their own I guess!

Very nice display mate. Are they covered by anything to help keep the dust out...

Thank you.

Grant.

Yeah not my choice in display, but I guess it works for them. That's what it really boils down too anyway. Every collection/collector is unique, so it is up to them how they want to display their collection. I look forward to seeing what you decide.

Thanks Grant. As of right now I do not have a front on the case, so it is a pain to dust every couple of months. One of my plans this summer was to work on a front cover, but it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully I'll get to it sometime soon cause it is a pain in the ass to clean when dusting time comes around.
