Well I have come to the conclusion that I am going to quit drinking. The other night I went to a gig and ended up fighting with someone and I turned into a real angry bastard - what scares me is that I have NO recollection of the incident. I dont remember getting home, or anything. I phoned my mate to fill in the blanks and he was pretty pissed off with me and told me what happened. Does this complete memory loss thing happen to any of you lot? Its seems to be happening more and more when I get leathered. I guess the recent split with missus hasnt helped my intake. So yeah, mines a diet coke........ :(

I get memory loss too mate. It's definatley as you get older.
Went out in Windsor earlier this year with the lads and last 4 hours of the night.
****ing scared me mate.
I've stopped having shots when I'm out now

Started with McEwans Champion before I went out, then had Newcastle browns, they ran out of that and I went onto Old Peculiar. I dont remember anything much past Grief coming on stage.

newcastle brown - **** knows whats in that stuff but its only 4.6% but it blows your head off after 4 lol

I remember having at least 5 of them, at the end of the night I had blown about £45 quid on beer alone considering the place is in walking distance and the door fee was only £6....

Lee, sorry that you're having a pissy time of it lately. Speaking from experience, a really bad break-up can take a long time to get past. But I think getting aggro and messy is where you have to draw a line. You know yourself that you don't want to be "that guy", so maybe sit out the next few big nights out? I'm of the opinion that going on the dry completely is going from one extreme to the other, and Christmas isn't the best time to consider going on the wagon. Dunno mate, be cool. Good luck.

I've stayed off the Newcastle Brown Ale for about 15 years now - it used to make me very aggressive on nights out with occasional bouts of fisticuffs. I know 3 other people who will not touch it because of this reason.

You just need to find something else rather give up drinking - like pints of Creme de Menthe
