Longest time you have ever waited on a figure in the post?

Oh yeah! Forget about those, but weasel doesn't count things that aren't on cardboard AND in plastic boxes

Hi Joe good to hear this mate. Show us some pics.

I received my Palitoy Landspeeder and sealed Imperial Cruiser today (after only one week from the US), so I'm well pleased too.

Yes, the seller has offered to give me a refund less postage, but I've decided to wait a bit longer. If it doesn't arrive in 2 weeks I'm going to take him up on his offer.

Oh very nice , at least you were offered that if it doesn't turn up, and fingers crossed it does!

Well, it turned up today. That's positive I suppose, but I can now post in the 'worst packaged Star Wars item you have ever received' thread if there is one on this forum. Luckily the item arrived relatively intact. Will post pics of the packaging tonight.

True, but I'm a bit annoyed because he used a very weak cardboard box and no further protection at all for the vehicle box (x-wing) inside. The result is that the box is crushed and I have to iron it to get it right again. Luckily I have experience restoring X-wing boxes that way.

I'm half thinking of asking for a partial refund anyway.

I waited 6 months once for a package, I thought i was being smart getting postal insurance on a piece and they tried to tax me a shed. In that light i refused to pay it and it got sent back flatrate to the states, the piece finally got there and shipped back to me without insurance in a week. The whole ordeal taking 6 months, I wasn't happy.

I would. If it's not as he sold it to you then get some or all of your money back.

Update: I asked and got half of my money back. The seller was perfectly civil during all this, even when I opened a paypal dispute (which tends to put some sellers in frothing rages). So kudos to him.

Never had any star wars stuff lost yet. Touch wood.

Had parcelfarce hang onto an AFA 90 graded MOC of mine for 2 months before allowing me to pay the custom charge from the US, which was annyoing.

And the new porter in my block of flats kept 4 months worth of parcels before we found out he wasn't forwarding them, one of which was a nice star wars piece I was after.

Also had some royal mail parcels delayed by 3 months, it was like all my parcels that month arrived 3 months late. Maybe posty was tired and hiding them somewhere in the depot.

OT I heard once from an English collector i used to buy some AFA items from that he knew of someone that lost a carded AFA 85 Telescoping Saber Ben Kenobi in the post somewhere. It was travelling through UPS so the guy most likely would have been paid out of insurance but still its a serious item to have go missing.

Grant.
