Hello Marc,

Hmm, I would be very tempted if a jawa were to appear. :D Of course, I would ask about twenty or more questions, then ask a few other knowledgeable ledy collectors.

I had a few Ledys, including a Yoda, where the blister simply fell off (sort of like the Takara cardbacks tend to do over time). I still have the blister although I sold the cardback some time ago. Not sure how common it is but I'd say they may not be unused cardbacks, especially with the wear and tear that some have. Probably just cardbacks where the blisters came off like my Yoda.

Since there are only a few of the Vader cardbacks around (and this one is probably in the best condition), the price can go pretty high (afterall, the Yoda from last week went for $720US).

The C-3PO (Retorno) cardback currently on sale is the only the third version (and definately the best condition) I've seen since I got back into vintage in 1994. However, the price seems insanely high, although I would have been tempted when I was collecting Ledy cardbacks as it was of the few I did not have.

PS The seller sold a Jawa a week or so ago with the blister still attached. It went cheap (i.e., under $80US).

Without leaving any glue residue or paper tears at the area where the blister was once sealed ?

I discussed these LL cards that popped up in the last couple of weeks with another collector. I´d say these are just overstock cardbacks, that where never "blistered". I don´t think these are proof cards in any way.

But maybe I´m wrong and the blisters have fell off.

This was my thoughts as well, considering the huge amount of overstock Lili Ledy figure limbs/parts that were salvaged and sold on its not beyond belief that a handful of unused cardbacks were found and kept as well, having said that the edge wear is consistent with normal LL carded figures and when a bubble "pops" off during transit it literally does just that, no visible tear or mark from a bubble.

Prototype price , definitely not.
A nice clean LL cardback..Yep :)

Blisters were heat sealed, not glued. I think that applies to Lily Ledy stuff as well. How many Tri Logo cardbacks have you seen over the year were the blister fell off leaving no marks whatsoever on the cardback? I know I've had 10-20 in my collection over the years that could have passed for unused cardbacks, including a Han Solo where I accidentially knocked the blister putting it into an acrylic case resulting in a loose blister, figure and perfect cardback. (Funny, I ended up selling the loose cardback for more than I purchased the MOC!).

Either way, the Lily Ledy cardbacks were pretty damn nice. I wonder who stole the C-3PO! I'm dying to know.

What money these lili ledy card back sells for

It varies. A Yoda (Retorno) sold last week for $720 US. Others are more, most much, much less. I've listed a bunch on my blog (http://www.foreignstarwars.com) that has sold recently and will be listing a ton more that have sold over the past year or so (to give an idea of how prices have gone up or down). The two we are mainly discussing are considered two of the hardest to find (Vader and C-3PO), both of which showed up with very little to no damage from removal of the blister.

And because Kevin does such a good job with not only LL stuff but ALL foreign vintage I am giving up on my list !

I think the data is much better collated how Kevin does it and he also has the place to store descriptions AND pictures - In other words Kevin's Blog is cool 8)
