Hi all, im just looking for photos of a few pieces to confirm what i have is LEDY ...

R2-D2 - Confirmed as a Kenner (The Ledy R2 should NOT read "made in Hong Kong" but just say "Hong Kong"

C3P0-Pullapart (rear leg stamps)

General Madine

Have checked the usual sites but need better photos.

Yeah, pretty sure those figures weren't featured on that site mate.
I wonder why that German thread never got finished? Probably one of the best threads ever, i'm sure it gets dozens of hits every day.

Lily Ledy General Madine
Although he has the same Hong Kong coo stamp on his right leg, there are few tell tale signs showing he is a Ledy.

Ledy has moulded face
Ledy has darker brown belt
Ledy has darker blue arm paint
Ledy has glossy black boot/glove paint/Kenner is a duller/matt black
Ledy head sculpt looks thinner than Kenner.

I'd really like to get a Ledy variants thread going on here similar to the German site especially for Ledy figures not on that site. I have a few figures not on there so maybe time to think/start a dedicated Ledy thread on here?

Hi Lee,

Definately needs a dedicated Ledy section m8, ive noticed differences on some Ledy figures that arent even highlighted anywhere too, it would need compiled professionally tho without posts underneath each pic etc, i was going to make a dedicated site with a Mexican friend but why not here.

ps - that also helped a lot as i dont even have any kenner figures to compare him to lol

Sounds like a its well needed.

It would be good for people to add the LL figures to this thread that way you have a ton of data building up to act as a platform for the site.

Once theyre all covered we can list alphabetically etc.

Sorry for the late input about the Madine - it seems there is also a Kenner Hong Kong version with moulded face. So please take care before you buy a 'LL' Madine.

Teebo from what i have found has no C.O.O.

I have also received another R2-D2 from Mexico that differs from the other 2 i have, this one has no C.O.O. and has a darker blue on his dome.

We need better clarification on these R2s guys, which is the REAL Ledy R2 or did they make 2 different versions?

Great link Rob, I knew I had seen a Jedi Luke head on a Bespin Luke body. There are 3 no COO Teebos? so more info is needed, hood markings etc??

Update on the Ledy R2D2, i am informed by Cristian there is 2 from Ledy, one does read "Hong Kong" and the other is no C.O.O. and a darker blue used on the dome - this one is much rarer.

Lili Ledy R2D2 Variants
1. Darker Blue used on the dome (LL Variant 2).
2. Flathead Screw Underneath (LL Variants 1 + 2).
3. (C) G.M.F.G.I. 1978 (No C.O.O.) (LL Variant 2).
4. Some differences in sticker detail (LL Variants 1 + 2).
5. (C) G.M.F.G.I. 1977 Hong Kong (LL Variant 1).
6. Another giveaway is the sloping sticker by Ledy.

Kenner on the left, Lili Ledy Variant 1 Centre, Lili Ledy Variant 2 on the right.

Yes - we could do with a better condition Ledy "Hong Kong" R2 Image :?

If anyone has the LL Variant 1 in good condition please take pix of the front/back/underside and ill replace the middle one in my pic with yours, once i have some good pics ill show the front/back/underside shots and highlight the differences.

Heres a close up of the 3 domes, note the colour differences and the eyepiece size, to me the Ledy R2's look to have a slightly larger eye piece.

True...but It's way cheaper to use a normal one.
