Lets all laugh at Liverpool

Now we've stopped killing each other we need something else to do. Most choose drinking, the odd freak chooses sport!

When it's not your season..........
Mind you, from what I saw they didn't deserve to get anything from the game. Sunderland looked much the better side.

A freak goal that shouldnt have stood (did you see the liverpool fans face who threw it on the pitch! lol)
BUT....like weaz said we definately didnt deserve to win the match, outclassed again by much lower opposition, which just shows that our squad is crap.
And i felt sorry for Jay Spearing, poor lad dumped in the team that doesnt have Gerrard or Torres in it....he would probably prefer to play in the reserves, at least they play with more passion.

Still only Lyon on Tuesday and United at home this Sunday!
Not like either game really matters

Benitez needs to be sacked now,if I was a liverpool fan i'd be wanting redknapp or mancini.

Big club that wont make the champions lge at this rate, then the banks will start calling for their money that liverpool borrowed on the basis that they get the extra income season on season.

for ****S sake......Benitez needs the sack...we play Lyom at home, a vital game in th CL and after losing to sunderland...he plays Ngog up front, shitty Lucas and we look **** and lose again, i wonder why???

Kelly had a good game...why didnt he give him a chance before spending 12million on a right back? although i do like Glenn Johnson and he is a good signing.

He rushed Gerrard back after injury and where has that got him? maybe no Gerrard for the Man Utd game.

Only a win against Utd will calm the storm, but i think they will piss on us, Babel is oviously going in January. If Owen scores that will be the nail in the coffin.

He has had about 250million to spend and had 65 players and our squad is shite, how we needed to keep crouch and keane instaed of Voronin and Ngog...just not good enough.

RANT OVER :)

That beach ball should go down as own goal for Liverpool seen as so it bore the Liverpool crest LMAO.

Probably the best thing i have seen for comedy value in ages

I hate to say it but Liverpool are dog **** without Torres, Gerrard and Mascherano

On a more positive note Steve Gibson has finally grown a set of balls and sacked Southgate! Get in 8)

Strange how he did it when we are just 1 point off the top of the table and on the back of a home win?

Apparently though there was only 17,459 fan at the match (capacity is 34,998) In the Premiership we had regular attendances of 30,000 plus with many sell outs for the bigger games.

There has been an locally organized fan boycott in Middlesbrough itself. It had gotten really political with key representatives actually meeting with Gibson's representatives at the club. The fact that nearly 50% of fans were following the boycott must has heaped enormous pressure on Gibson.

It looks like Fans can make a difference.

I wonder if what has happened to the Boro could happen to Liverpool? Especially if it comes to the point where their followers are thinking they have no chance of winning any real silverware but they worrying about the fight to get 4th or worse?

They way Liverpool are playing and the real lack of any quality in depth to the squad there is the very real danger of not qualifying for the Champions League next year?? Or even getting booted out of the Group Stage in the coming months? At least they would have Europa League

Will Hicks and Gillett decide to stop the rot earlier than Gibson did at Boro?

Surprised by Southgate's sacking now. As you say they are 1 point from the top of the Championship.
Saying that the guy is a **** manager, nice bloke, but **** manager. Look at how they have done under his stewardship. Each year they got worse and worse. McClaren is a great coach, but not a great manager, yet Southgate managed to dismantle McClaren's pretty decent team and replace it with one of utter ****. Hence the relegation.
Right move from Gibson, just two years too late!

As for Liverpool, where do I start!?

I haven't seen the game, I was running around a hockey pitch for two hours in the pissing rain.

1) They seem to be clean out of luck ATM. That Sunderland goal is worse than a one in a million. Yes, Sunderland probably deserved to win anyway, but deserving to win and winning aren't the same thing. Also, in the Chelsea game it was fairly even (and that should probably be evenly poor/dull) until Chelsea scored. Had Liverpool scored first who knows what might have happened. Those two results would have made a lot of difference to the confidence levels as well.

2) They are getting hit by a lot of injuries at the same time. Ok Aquilai is injured, but we knew that would happen. But having Gerrard and Torres both injured while away on International Duty (both playing in games were their Countries had already qualified) is doubly unfortunate. Then add in Johnson's injury, I think he has been Liverpool's player, of the season so far, Agger only just coming back to full fitness, Riera doing his groin and then Mashcerano, Insua, and Lucas being half way round the world on International duty it doesn't help! Suddenly I know how Arsenal fans must feel!

3) Liverpool's squad is the weakest of the big four. I don't think this was a huge secret (how many PL clubs would want Voronin/Ngog?), but added to point two it means that there is little in the way of proper back up for injured first team players so obviously results will suffer. This is in part due to point 4

4) Those stupid Yanks, and TBF the idiots who ran the club before them. I'm looking at you Moores!
How can a club sell their best midfielder (assuming you accept Gerard is/was a striker last season) for £30 million and yet still only have £40 million to spend on players over the summer!? WTF happened to the money the club generates!? Liverpool are probably one of the best supported clubs in the world (plenty of glory hunters but then every big club gets them) so where is all that money going? What happened to the money the from the league/CL run? The stadium revenue? Shirt sales? Before anyone says it's gone on debt repayments, United have bigger debts (and bigger income granted) but they still manage to find £20-£30 million should a player/players be needed. Liverpool seem to be making do on a shoe-string, or selling to buy. If that is the case then why did the Yanks buy the club!? If they are Asset stripping it, surely they would have sold Torres with City/Chelsea came in with offers!?

Finally

5) Benitez. No he's not the best manager the world has ever seen ever ever ever. But, he is the best person for the Job ATM. FFS who else out there is going to do a better job?
Don't say Mourinho, because we all know what his style of "football” is like, and anyway WHY would he leave a cushy number at Inter. Harry Redkanpp (Browny) wise up. The man's a ****ing tactical gooseberry! And a ****!
There are very few decent top level managers about at the minute, and short of taking a gamble on some un-known who the **** else is there? Hiddink is out because of his Russian connections. Ibramovich will hardly let him take over at Liverpool while he pays the bulk of his salary as Russia Manager. Capello is happy taking the FA’s money. Scolari and Ramos both flopped in the PL. Trapatoni, Lippi are both happy in their current International jobs, plus I would have my doubts about them adapting to the Premiership.
So, who’s left?
Sounsess back!? O’leary, George Graham, Phil Thompson!?

Long story short, it's not exactly ideal ATM, and I fully expect us to lose on Sunday, but it's not gonna do us any good to get rid of Benitez. Get rid of the Yanks yes, and get someone with a few pennies so Benitez can busy someone who knows how to play the game. Knee jerk reactions will only make the situation worse. We have to grin and bear it at the minute (****, that will be hard if the scum win on Sunday) and just hope the Yanks **** OFF sometime soon, preferably before Liverpool as a club fold.
Did you know they (Liverpool) had to guarantee the Premier league they were financially viable, such is the degree of nervousness amongst the PL and FA at Liverpool’s financial predicament!
It was never ideal before the take over, but FFS we were never in danger of going into administration!

Took me three times as long to spell check than type because of the bloody screen pissing about!

I am a Liverpool supporter of over 31 years and it really pisses me off to see the club run by a couple of cowboys. Hicks and Gillett are too busy fighting each other to see what a mess they are making of LFC.
I am not a big Rafa fan but Weasel's right WTF is available if we did sack him. Certain players are only at the club to pick up there 40 grand a week and really dont give a **** if they play or not or if they play well or not. The premiership is a bag of bollocks anyway, you cant even get a ticket to see them these days without spending hours on the phone and that's if your lucky.
Forget about going to away games, to qualify for a ticket you have had to of gone to at least a dozen away games last season. how the hell can you of gone to a dozen away games when last season they were saying you had to have gone to a dozen away games the previous season ( catch 22 . Most premiership clubs only allocate about 10% of the capacity to away supporters so tickets are very limited.
I used to go and watch them home and away a lot before the premiership but i am lucky to see them a few times a season and thats only at Anfield unless i go to away grounds and sit in with the home supporters. Which i dont want to do.

I do still love LFC but as you can see i hate the way football has become and hope one day that football is given back to the true supporters.
A very pissed off LFC Supporter. :x
PS sorry for the rant.

Weasel - I'm offended mate :x surely the way liverpool are going at the moment you'd want someone with a bit of get up and go?

Redknapp is the only man to get **** players (liverpool have enough of them at the moment) playing their best football possible,he has done it year on year and is a true old school manager,I agree he is a **** and I ****ing hate the way he's stitched pompey up twice, but the facts speak for themselves,he had put pompey on the verge of the big 4 and won the f.a cup and 1st div trophys and run man utd all the way in the charity shield, believe me it wasnt all down to money either like the press want you to believe!

Then he moved to spurs and we have all seen the quality of players he has got in there since being in charge and of course the league position they now sit in,and again run man utd all the way in a final....again.

I wonder how many of spurs players redknapp has signed would get into liverpools first 11? all of them bar kranjcar possibly (he is better than lucas though),and cucicini!

It apperas that liverpool have **** all money, someone quoted 40m and with that redders would get sheer quality in to stop the rot,he's famous for it for ****s sake.

We all know he is a crook, but he is a clever crook and will never get done for his dealings, trust me the guy is shrewd at transfers, for instance look at muntari and diarra for pompey, signed for peanuts and now both playing for 2 of the biggest clubs in the world, far bigger than liverpool.

Just think what a guy like him could do for a big big club like liverpool, something tells me he'd do better than benitez, granted he won the champions lge etc but look what he's doing now that the purse strings have been tightened a lot.....**** all.

I like liverpool and have scouse blood in my family (doesnt everyone  ) and I want to see them do well.

Weasel chill out get a brandy down your neck dude,it's not all bad....you could be a pompey fan or even worse a ****ing SCUMMER

Stef 8)

benitez has had 5 ****ing years and hundreds of millions of £ in transfer fee's, 65 players in and he still cant get it right.....wft makes all you liverpool fans think that getting rid of the yanks and getting some rich arab in will be the end to all your troubles  your squad is worse now than when benitez arrived, and that was before the yanks got there so who's fault is it really ????????????????????????

and another thing, its all right moaning about injuries being unfortunate but steven gerrard was played when clearly not fit, as a consequence could now miss sundays game, not really unfornate just a ****ing stupid risk. now liverpool will try and get him fit for that game but what long term damage is he going to suffer just to get him playing sunday? and its not just gerrard but torres too, but this is not the first time liverpool have done this. Micheal owen was always rushed back to soon from injury and it has done his body no favours either... at least he is with a club that cares now  :p

Gerrard is ****ed, he's tired and working at 200% to keep Liverpool a top team, which is taking its toll on him.
Lucas is shite and no replacement for Alonso, Ngog is young and ****.

We need to go back to 4-4-2 with the current squad, we look weak and need Gerrard back in the center allowing him to push forward when he needs to...not trying to make up for Lucas's shitness and Torres' lack of support.

Benitez does not know what he i doing, playing Ngog was taking the piss in a vital CL match

we need to go back to basics and get sunmmat like this...although not a strong team on paper, we might look like causing other teams issues

Reina

Kelly/Johnson Agger Carragher Insua

Johnson/Babel Mascherano Gerrard Benayoun

Kuyt Torres

Jay - I didn't see/haven't seen any of the game from Tuesday night, so I can't comment on Gerrad not being fit.

As for wanting the Yanks out, it's more from the point of view of 'it can't get worse' than the Saudi's will be better. FFS how can a club be run well when the two owners despise each other and are using everyone in the club as pawns in their petty little squables!?

Browny - I'm not a fan of Hary Redknapp's I don't even think he's that good a manager. If you want someone who is good at getting the most out of his players why not go for Martin O'Neill? A much better track record, on a budget, and much less of a ****.
Thing is Spurs were a good team before Ramso took over, they should have finished 4th the season before, but for Arsene Wenger's cooking. The only reason that Redknapp LOOKS like he is working miracles is because Ramos got it so horribly wrong. With the squad he inherited he couldn't not drag them up to European placings. FFS half of his signings since he took over have been old Spurs players, Keane, DeFoe etc.
No doubt Redknapp has signed some quality players, but he also signed some complete shite. TBF so has Benitez! Torres wasn't exactly thought of as world class when we signed him. Nor Alonso. Skertl/Agger when they are fit/remember how to play, are both quality centre backs.

Like I said before, I don't think Rafa is the greatest Manager about but, he is the best Liverpool will get, so sacking him makes no sense. Doesn't look like they can afford it now either!

Weasel - Harry redknapp is a quality manager mate,I dont understand people who say he isnt? The facts speak for themselves and bar o neil going up to scotland and winning a 2 team league, even he wouldnt be on a par with redknapp, both have won cups with lesser unfancied clubs, both have taken their respective clubs into europe and also to their highest league position in many a year, but redknapp should just shade that with his cv (minus celtic of course)

They are both at roughly the same sized clubs now and i'l put my neck on the line and say spurs will finish higher than villa this season.

I'm mates with loads of reds and they all would love redknapp to take over, maybe it's a southern thing or even a english thing but everyone I know ****ing loves harry, even me.

By the way the current squad is far weaker than the champions lge winning squad in my opinion.

Cheers stef

what facts? Every team he managed got relegated that season or the season after - watch out Pompey

He's an ok manager that assembled a good team at Pompey - but what else has he done? Weasel's right the Spurs squad was good before Harry arrived
