Finally, I have proved the senior management at my school wrong, I am not **** after all.

Just had a lesson observation and it was graded as "good", the best being outstanding but who gives one? She was a right old battle axe as well!

WOOHOO!

  As in Good god thats the best piece of teaching I have ever seen, I can retire now, safe in the knowledge that I will never see better than that?

er no, i meant as in "god good, how do we let people like this take charge of our children, we are all ****ed and would be better off moving to New Zealand as the futre generation of english kids are going to be mentally retarded after this bloke has finished with them.....

but your answer was GOOD to bollux

Nice one Bollux 8)

How did the other teachers get on?
Tell me senior management were ****!?

Aaahhhh, so rather than actually teach the kids (which is what teachers are supposed to do, unless I missed something) they decided their time would be better spent assessing you, on top of the Ofsted assessment!? :?

thats exactly what happened mate.

**** em i did a good job today and do every day...i just had to jump through hoops today. glad to know i can still do a model lesson when needed

Bunch of ****ing idiots!

Surely they can tell how effective your methods are by the results your kids get?

Oh my God how true is that!!!!!

We had ofsted last year.

I was one of the few teachers seen

Before that, had the Headteacher come in and see me teach.

I almost got a grade one for that lesson. The only reason i didn't? Because the kids didn't speak up enough.

Like I can ****ing make them speak. They were all shitting themselves because the head teacher was in the room

That would make sense but sadly it doesn't work.

I run my own department (RE) We get the best results in the school.

Average school pass rate 53%
My department 75%

Within the Faculty (Humanities) I'm one of four department heads. my results far outstrip them, geography 35% History 48% for example.

Yet I get the most grief.

Why?

Because I'm the least organised in terms of paper work.

Senior management are useless!
They just constantly worry about how everything "looks" to the outside world, **** that! Do my kids leave with high grades yes, do I piss about a bit and have a laugh with them? yes!

**** them!

There is no way I would last as a teacher, if it wasn't for verbally abusing the kids, bringing back the cane, and probably hitting on the 6th form girls, I'd be sacked for pointing out to senior staff how ****ing stupid their ideas where. :D

Feel sorry for you guys, although you do 4 times as many days off as me!

Well said mate.

At the end of the day, all that should matter is that the kids benefit from having been taught by you and that they leave school having done well.

There is something seriously ****ed up when teachers/senior management are more concerned with how things look than with the results the kids get! :?
