LED Lighting for displays?

I just bought a couple of these & must say am really impressed, but they are 5 meter lengths -

great vid. I saw those lights in Ikea and thought they looked pretty nifty. They do different lengths as well.

I can't solder for **** though :roll:
 
Yeah, you can buy a few variations on them. These were the cheapest at £11 each. Soldering is not so hard. Just needs a steady hand.

Did the first cabinet display today - think it looks pretty good for £12 and a bit of soldering. Going to hide the lights from view next.

6 rows of lights there, just cant see the other 4 cos of the angle I took the picture at. I bought a 5 meter strip (for 11.99 and came with sower supply and remots), and cut it into 6 x 50cm lengths to do this unit, and have more than enough to do the narrower unit next to it. Just a bit of soldering was needed and some extra rgb wire, and a led splitter for the second unit. So far happy with the result.

They're ikea units - and I may switch the shelves out for the glass ones that they sell as an alternative.
