This is the find of my life and possibly one of the bargains of the year.

Never thought I'd own one of these, they're so rare it's unreal. The word rare is used much to often in this hobby but in this case it really does apply.
Made by H.W. Stewart Ltd Glasgow, and only availble in the North of England, these Star Wars Mallow Shapes are something of a mystery. Not a great deal is known about the product and I've never seen one of the 'mallows' and only a couple of images of the box.
This was a newly listed Buy It Now on Monday afternoon. At first I thought it was one of those Replicator repro box auctions, had to look at it twice. Never pressed a button so hard or fast in my life.
Had a fear I was going to get back doored on this auction but relieved this morning when it turned up. Amazing condition. What I was surprised to find though, was inside the box was a blank piece of card, thought I'd remove it and see if there was a wrapper underneath! There wasn't but on the other side of the card was the same artwork on the lid, with the addition of the price '3p'. So this was included to make the box into a counter display.
Easily one of my best finds and favourite items. And all for £19.99!

There's no way if he sells he will break the chase set up as its worth far more than the sum of its parts assembled. And way cooler like that.

Late 70's.

What's fascinating for me is the artwork on the box is unique, and incredibly well done. As far as I know, this is the only SW licensed item they did.

Would love to find out what the actual product looked like.

Love the ceramic R5, is that from the salt n pepper set with R2?
Ace Takara Vader, Endor chase, loose Bossk and all the cards and moc, but by gum, that mallow box is something else :shock:
I have been searching for one of those for years Mark, am stunned to see one let alone in such amazing condition.
Only ever seen one other.
