Hi all,

Some of you have probably already seen this elsewhere, but as these finds practically never happen to me I have to share! Got a phone call out of the blue from someone local who'd seen an old wanted ad of mine on a general sales website. They said they were moving house and had dug out an old Star Wars collection which belonged to the caller's brother. Her brother was never that keen on SW, so he would just remove the packaging then basically stow the stuff away. He now lived abroad and apparently didn't care what happened to the lot, so I was asked to come over for a quick sale. This is what I got:

All mint, complete, and unplayed with. Even included a trilogo Fett and some POTF.

I did inform them that they would make more money by splitting the lot up, but they were just looking to get rid of it. I ended up giving them a reasonable offer, which they happily accepted. I plan to sell off most of the figures, but the AT-AT's a keeper; box fresh and no discolouration on chin guns or body/legs.

What are the chances, here in tiny Norway? Chuffed to bits :D

Cheers,
Martin

Here's my latest MOC, a peach of a trilogo Logray from the last Vectis auction. Big thanks to Rich for posting it to me without even asking, top man :)

Nice one Cazza, glad it's gone to a good home. Really wanted this bit couldn't justify it after all my other recent purchases.

oli- wowsers  what a piece! vibrant colours. im always amazed proof cards survived. i believe most proofs are skip raided from back in the day? this true

now this was on ebay.com for ages @ $13. i already have a ree yees MOC but i was having something posted to me from iain (thanks again bud) so i thought i would bundle this in.

its not pretty its been touched up around the edges and where a price sticker was, i knew this already from the auction picture

but if you look beyond this you will see its a made in mexico back (MIM)

since having it in hand its still factory sealed :) Ii have discovered Its a Defo a Lily Ledy Ree Yees (it has Glossy Dark Green boot not matt like kenner) :) it has Tacky hand paint which is very evident see pictures which is quite common for LL ree yees and some other LL figures and is quite often found on the inside of the bubble this particular one has a a fair bit lol.

I have found out that even though MIM contain LL figures some came with kenner weapons some LL weapons. mine has LL weapon :) as it slightly different in sculpt to the kenner one and has also a letter on its grip. I believe all LL Accesories have letters or numbers on them/ . the LL RY has either y,s,w on its grip mine has W.

There is a hole on the back of the card in O See Picture. i have found out it was put there by LL factorys so the factory machines could tell a figure was inside or not and also avoid the bubble sweating and becoming loose during transit to retailers across america and beyond.

I have also discovered there were 13 ROTJ MIM cards released (Lando Skiff, Yoda, Squid Head, Gammorean Guard, Darth Vader, Logray, Biker Scout
Paploo, Lumat , Ree-Yees, Chief Chirpa, Nien Nunb, Klaatu)

i enjoyed researching this as you can tell.

Oil, amazing proof, gorgeous piece.

Chris, great bargain MIM RY. I still need one for my run and will end up paying much more than that for sure.

Where did you hear about the hole in the back reasoning? The not sweating idea rings true but I'm not so sure about the checking of contents reason. Just doesn't sound plausible. Given that the cases of figure were packed by hand there would have been no mistaking a card missing and figure and complete card. Also, as the bubbles were sealed by hand that involved a person picking up a figure, placing it in the bubble and sealing it. Can't see how they'd miss the figure!

Bargain little Ree Yees there. I have my first, a Canadian one, on the way over from the US eBay via Iain.
