Latest Acquisitions

Great TIE TRI there. Definitely considering maybe a little TIE pilot focus, even though I've said I focus on a character :D

My latest arrivals, nothing special but both mean so much to me, the AT-AT Driver was the first figure I ever bought, I was ten years old back in 1980 and paid £1.59 for it. When I saw this I had to have it especially as it has an original Palitoy cardback with it, one day I hope to have a moc Palitoy variant.
The Bib Fortuna was the last figure I remember buying back in 84 ish so again I had to have it, the bubble has yellowed slightly but its in very good condition.

Quick catch up
Page 1869:
Darren: Seriously loving the Cast & Crew Jacket and jewels mate, very cool. Lending stuff to Pinewood? Fancy!!
Dr Ball MD: Great purchase of the VCJ, much nicer than the repro one you once owned, which you sold me for a tenner and i subsequently burned!
Iain: Great Takara Leia, but the R2 is seriously cool/different. You beat me to that on FB! I'm glad you have it dude.
Punk Pat: Cool double headdress Logray.
Page 1870:
RobStyley: Nice ESB on ROTJ MOCs. I agree, i've always loved the 21B card for some reason.
Jedi Mister: Lovely run of Leia Endors, they look great together. That Tri Logo Han looks very nice. Edit: Plus great job with the Lobot.
Stormcab: Mate that is so sweet. I've seen him a couple of times before and always fancied adding him to my collection. Congrats dude.
Mr Bob A Feet: You worry about only having one MOC this year?? I have bought none!! Thats a great looking AT AT Driver dude, congrats!
Page 1871:
Shakey: Finally, i put you on to something that doesn't break in the post! Great Bootleg, you are now on the slippery slope. Hold the phone, sweet Harbert C1P8.
Gary: Congrats on the Palitoy game, is it sealed?
Lejackal: Nice Lando & the Pilots. I miss buying loose figures. The nose on the A Wing is really good.
Chrisfnx: Cracking Popy, if no one has already said it, you definitely need a GW acrylic case for it, shows it off a beaut.
JimboUK1979: Fresh LFB Gunner card mate, very displayable.
Page 1872:
Stormcab: Dude that is a great triple MOC photo, i totally agree with these being amongst the best MOCs available.
LeJackal: It's aways funny to see the Luke with the helmet on, i have mine displayed holding the helmet. The mould has always made me chuckle, nice work.
Scruffy: 2 great looking MOCs. Congrats on the Short Mouth MIM BS with LL weapon. I will now have a short interlude whilst i run upstairs to check my SM MIM BS MOC!... I'm back. I'm not sure, it might be a shade darker than my loose one but its difficult to tell. If i were a betting man i'd say not.
Shakey: Man you really are doing well. Nice Stormtrooper and Hammerhead!
Clawrence: Congrats on the Imp Gunner. Best of luck with the weapon hunt. Tough one at a good price.
Page 1873:
Sabreman: Nice post about the AT AT Driver and Bib. Best of luck with the MOC hunt. AT AT Driver has been popular of late!

Still hardly anything for me of late. These 2 make up my entire 2016 Vintage acquisitions so far.

Gifted to me buy a lovely Gent known as Toru_Komuru on RS who listened to me discussing these on the podcast, it goes great with the focus:

and my first LXW baggie sold to me by Marc aka The Guilty One.

Then i found an old frame i was able to chuck my card backs in:

Focus is coming on nicely:

Just when Jez thought he had got all up to date I go and pop my non Trilogo Palitoy Cherry with these two beauties courtesy of Neil and some bloke in Florida (Bossk delivered the bounty on them)

Nice pickups Sabreman. It's really great to hear somebody picking up pieces because they bring back memories from their childhood.

Love those KayBee overstock items lejackal. Especially the Rebel Commando. Bubble and card look perfect.

Always nice to see your LXW focus Jez.

Awesome new additions, everyone!

Loving the Palitoy Rebel Commando and AT-AT Driver, Carl :) And the new Han items are very cool, in particular the Dixie cup box and it's cool art. Jez, your LXW collection is phenominal. Great to see the LXW on so many carbacks. Still on the hunt for the Trilogo version. Missed a cracker in Spain a few weeks ago :/

Keep 'em coming, guys.

I'm not sure what my first figure was, I thought it was Han but my Mum says Chewie. So the first figure I got was Chewie, Phoebe opened it with a wookie roar

Here is the collection to date:

Slave 1 was the first main ship I bought and I loved it. I then got the falcon second hand.

Isp-6 was my favourite mini rig, I really wanted a shuttle but couldn't afford it. The pop up wings were just awesome.

Of all of these r5 was the figure I could never find

That LXW focus is is always mind blowing to look at. I'm still missing one for my collection. See some nice trilogos come up, but am really holding out for the Palitoy 20 Back. Patience.

Been after one of these for a while, big thanks to Lindo for this beauty

Nice Tim, good to see you buying again by the way!

Just picked up a beautiful 79A with a Carters £1.75 price sticker from Andy Davies.

79A-8D8.jpg

Apologies in advance for the waffle below but I can't just post a picture without also adding a wall of text!

As some of you guys will know, Kenner 79A's can be quite elusive figures because most of them were given Anakin offer stickers before they were distributed to stores. The stickers are cool but obviously once they are on the card they then turn those offerless cards into 79B's.

Most of the offerless 79 backs that are out usually come from countries that had no such offer running at the time, which allowed the cards to remain offerless (most come from Australian, UK or European sellers). Personally, I've never actually seen a 79A 8D8 that was sold in America (although I am reliably informed that 79A's for some characters have been found stateside) so I would imagine that every single 8D8 79 back that Kenner received instantly had the Anakin offer stickers applied.

The application of the offer to these cards in America effectively means that some 79backs were never released offerless in America. Due to this I guess you could almost call certain offerless Kenner 79 backs non US releases! In fact that's exactly why I've always wanted to pick up a really nice looking 79A with a UK price sticker on, to reflect where it was sold..and now I've finally got one :)

New arrival today for my Pop Up
R2 focus.

Love the Glasslite cards & this one is extra cool as its a miscard. A Glasslite Droids figure on a Glasslite POTF card.

Here he is with his Brazilian brothers

and here he is with his cousins from around the globe. I decided to make a little display case for them. Left some room for a Kenner Droids & Trilogo MOC. I'll lose the cardbacks when I find some Trilogo variants.

Doubt I'll be adding anything for a while but really pleased with how far I've got in a year.
