Cheers Poncho. He's great isn't he! Such an obvious variant when you stand him next to a HK or Taiwan Fett. I REALLY want a Hollow cheek Tusken but can't bring myself to pay the current going rate. Gonna hold out for an incorrectly listed one on eBay or something! You never know!!

I'm with you on this buddy. It's a £25-£30 variant that's going for stupid money at the moment. This and hard torso hoth stormies. Stupid money.

I'm going to be playing the long game with these I think.

This was a lucky escape...

Terrible packing, item declared well above what I paid (why do this?!), crushed box, opened and inspected by customs but old Ben arrived from the US last week

This is the box and check out the damage to the star case:

Amazingly the card wasn't damaged at all. More amazingly, customs opened it up and didn't knacker it - and even more amazingly (is this one of the harbingers of the apocalypse?), only charged me £60 import duty (which is correctish, but normally Id expect to pay the full 25%).

PHEW!! Just how many vintage figures have customs destroyed? Doesn't bear thinking about. They destroyed 2 12 backs before they were delivered to me. This Star Cases are awesome. They're shaped in such away that it's actually quite hard to damage them. The seal is very rigid, and there's a lot of room in the main area for the bubble to be safe.

Top score. That is a grail item. Palitoy is the nuts.

this is how i picked up my first HTR a few years ago. £3 of ebay listed as 'sand people figure'. trouble is now, variants are bigger now than in previous years and people trawl through more listings than ever for hidden unsuspects variants that the seller is unaware they have. my advice would be too look at newlisted buy it nows. this works for me. 8)

Max, nice Ben! Cracking condition and what a lucky escape too. Thank god for Star Cases. Where did you find him? eBay? Found the US is quite good for picking up reasonably priced 12 back Palitoys; 2 of my 5 have come from there.

hi guys ,

just arrived in the post today an AFA80 , 12 Back R2D2 , A 12 Inch Boba from William30 and a super rare Denny's Fisher stretch Hulk , I know he is not Star Wars but cool as hell and only 1 of 30 documented in the world .

it feels just like Christmas

Nice going everyone... Max your one lucky boy... Nice Pali Ben.

My first miscard!
It did have a perfect bubble before posting but sadly now has a hairline crack in each of the four corners.
I want to put it in a acrylic case but would like advice on how to protect the bubble from blowing up completely!

That is one cool miscard benny. Love it.

Shame about the corners but these things are super prone to cracking. I think I'm right in saying it has the French bubble which is as thin as bible paper. Just put it in some acrylic and don't post it anywhere.

Well lads it's that time again. It's been 11 days since my last smash through this thread, i wonder what treats i'll see, here goes;

Oh, thats it!

Nice one lads, some stunning acquisitions again. Still nothing for me yet at all this month (a couple of things in the post though).

Bought too much recently. But will be slowing down now Christmas is around the corner.

There's little to nothing in the way of promo/press stuff for TFA from what I've seen. The only decent thing I've found is this Japanese press brochure, really lovely item and luckily got this one cheap. Will look cool next to my recently acquired screen used TFA Rebel patches :) :) :)

Also got a Palitoy Rancor Keeper offer leaflet.
