Latest Acquisitions

Got this in the post today. A friend of mine is working with Carrie Fisher on the Catastrophe TV show. It left the UK as a perfect signed photo and arrived in France a bit rough around the edges :( (but looks a lot better than the scan does!)

I bought a really nice DT Luke which arrived on Tuesday. The figure is the 3-line coo, which I understand is the 'DT' figure and the saber is really nice - the inner is completely straight and the outer is unmarked and totally complete/uncracked.

The picture is horrible, so apologies.

That's probably the best saber I've seen on one of those - very nice!

Thanks! As a bit of background, the inner saber came from a kenner rep find so had never been used or assembled. The outer is just a minty one without any cool backstory.

Couple of little additions to the collection

First up is this Tsukada ERG

Happy to join his mates

I also picked up this little beauty in a set of figures purchased recently - they had all been pulled straight from the card and then stored away for 30 years - this chap is about as mint as he comes

That DT Luke is perfect. One day, one day...

Iain, great ERG. Every issue of vintage SW figures had some brilliant figures and this was one of ROTJ's. It must be the wealth of red, because it's a relatively plain figure, photo and only a bit part in the film, but I still love it. And when you get tired of looking at the superb tri-logo, please do let me know! Great hollow tubes Tusken! Did the hollow tubes variation appear on all three film cards?

Great condition Luke FB card back. Looks almost TT! Such a clean card and the lightest touch of seal on the bubble.

Good autograph. Fair play to stars who still go to the bother of writing something more than just their names when signing. How hard must that be after so many years.

And going back a few days.....(that's how long I passed out for).....love the graded Palitoys. Green with envy!

picked up a childhood collection yesterday, all nice pieces. figures all complete with their weapons.
all in mint state

Finally managed to get my hands on a 47 back proof card for my R5-D4 pre production focus. So 7 down and just 2 more to go :)

Its a sample like proof card with 4 rounded corners, no punch and thicker card stock than the common proofs. It''s also one of a kind like most of the known 47 back proof cards.

This is the same one pictured on the SWCA http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=67247 So it's traveled from John Kellerman, to Lee, to Jerry Sawyer to a guy in California and finally to me.

I also picked up an R5-D4 Engineering Pilot which is cool because it is the only figural pre production item known for R5-D4 as no first shots or prototypes have ever turned up.

Thanks for the kind words Lee. It's nice to have finally tracked it down and to know its history of being owned by well known collectors :) I thought it had disappeared off the radar so I was really surprised it was offered to me out of the blue.
