Hi everyone

I've been asked by my parents to free up some loft space and dispose by any means necessary of my childhood toys still in storage.

I've got a large Kenner collection built around used ships with lots of spare parts and lots of figures.

The key ones of interest likely to be the Falcon box (no instructions), the Scout Walker box which contains manual, stickers and the walker itself and some other boxes / instructions.

I want to move the collection as a job lot and its a few years since I've really focused on star wars collecting, so I'd welcome any insight as to the likely value of the collection as a job lot.

thank you in advance - some bad mobile phone pictures enclosed taken yesterday!

hi there,

Looks like a great collection. With a collection that big I assume that you would need them to be collected only.

I understand you want to sell as a job lot but you would get more separate. It is hard to put a group value on these as there are so many bits.

If you did decide to sell separate I would be interested in the POTF Hoth Rescue Playset. I can see it has a bit of damage but looking at the pictures you seem to still have the contents.

The Han Solo Last 17 you have is complete so that would be an easy sale if sold separate.

I hope this helps.

wow nice childhood lot  Maybe you can find a buyer on the forum :) I must admit I have no idea about what the value are. But I am sure other members can help you to value the lot.
As joseph write you can get more for it if you split the lot :)

Thanks all - I've had an offer of £360 from a UK dealer for it as a job lot, but have no idea if thats good or bad.

The reason I'm reluctant to split it is the sheer hassle of managing it and disposing of it.

What would be helpful is getting an approximate sense of is the £360 valuation credible, and also what is the "Last 17" worth as well as the Falcon Box and the boxed AT-ST? I may be open to splitting very small items up.

In terms of delivery I drive across the UK a lot so am happy to drive to a useful location to deliver (but would factor petrol money into any offer)

Hi @jim30, welcome to the forum.
I am out of touch with current prices myself but would say that the £360 sounds very low - I would imagine a dealer would offer at least 50% below a price, maybe others can advise better.

I can suggest that you go to Evilbay (ebay.co.uk), enter the item in the search box at the top, scroll down and click on the 'sold' tick box on the left hand panel, also click on the UK box if you want to narrow it further. At least this may give you some rough guidelines of current prices. Look for recent sales first.
Sometimes the prices can be abit hit and miss. I have just tried the Endor Forest Ranger in box and the average price seems to be in the £30+ bracket, though there is one sold for £67 (European box) and some a little less.
Of course ebay prices can vary alot, this is just a guideline to start you off.

Hopefully the regulars on here will be able to help with prices too. You don't have to sell them on Evilbay, it is just a starting point for prices for you.

You could always sell the higher priced items separately, then do the more common, cheaper ones as a 'job lot' perhaps?

Good luck :)

Yeah that price is really cheap. I would easily give you £400 for that lot no problem but the actually price which is fair is hard to judge for me. Best thing to do is to sort out all figures with their correct accessories and the playsets with their boxes and go from there to get values of each item. I know it can be time consuming but that is the way you will get the most money. Of course if you don't have the time / want to sell quick and that you are happy with a certain price then that's fine as well. At the end of the day do what's best for you :).

Again here it's a case of 1. Quick sale and lose around 40 to 50 % of the value to a dealer or 2. Patience and getting everything together with correct weapons etc and selling separate to get more from it

As a rule dealers tend to work on the 3x rule, so if you are being offered £360 for the lot then the dealer is probably eyeing up something north of £1k when they flip them.

As others has said it is a classic case of quick sale or looking to get the best prices you can.

You have some lovely sets and figures in there, some last 17 (which are always worth a little more) and with instructions and sticker sheets etc. I think if you made sure everything is clean (I use a soft toothbrush and a little fairy liquid/water when cleaning old toys) and match the figures to weapons and vehicles to boxes etc. I am sure you could shift almost all of it, either on here or on Evilbay - If you wanted to job lot sale, then clean it all up and photograph well and I bet just on Evilbay you would get more than the £360 you've been offered.
