Hello everyone. This is my first post so please be kind.

I have recently been repairing my childhood Star Wars toys and have been having a blast making them work and look almost new.

Yesterday, I found my 1978 Landspeeder. It no longer raises or lowers the wheels. I opened it up and made two discoveries - it is missing 1 spring (no problem there) and the bottom of the gearshift is snapped off. I have no idea what it is supposed to look like or if there are additional pieces in the lower chassis it is supposed to snap into.

Can anyone help with a picture or two? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on still having your original childhood toys.

Not too sure which part you are referring to as I've never opened up a landspeeder but I would guess that if its broken then the chance of repairing that part would be slim. I'd suggest scouring ebay for a loose incomplete one that has its internal parts in working order and swapping them over.

Incomplete Landspeeders are quite common and don't sell for too much on Ebay so it may be the best way to go.

Example: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=item43b0a6a84e&item=290726520910&nma=true&pt=US_Action_Figures&rt=nc&si=RiQcyk38oXFanoUwX%252BFVYfxeBGw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_500wt_1049

Bets of luck with your repairs.

Ryan

Thanks! I did manage to find another. A friend had a pretty beat LS he donated to the cause. The piece I was talking about is the little gear that you push to bring the wheels up or down.
