Lando Skiff Guard Figure....

As I have remarked in the past the Lando Skiff Guard Disguise Figure is my personal favorite. only this past week I spent money I don't really have spare on yet another type of MoC for this figure !

I was wondering if anyone here knew on what date in 82 this figure went on sale in the UK. I am pretty certain my Dad bought me one in Nov / Dec 82 and I'd never seen it before then, although I could be a whole year out and it was 83....

Also, do any of you Uber collectors have any rare bits linked to this figure that you could photograph and share ? I'd love to see what else is out there....

You are a bit out on the date, the figure didn't go on sale until 83 as it's a character from ROTJ. It was in the first run of Jedi figures so would have been in stores in the summer of 83.

The Ebay auction you posted is another piece i owned, although i didnt add the productiin arms and legs. Nearly all of these for all figures existed originally with only head and torso, limbs are sometimes attached by people for display.

I remember the first run of Jedi figures coming out ahead of the film. I would gawp at them imagining what they get up to.

My guess is April or May 1983.

Yeah I definitely remember Madine coming out before seeing the film as I imagined the photo was set on Endor because I'd heard about a forest planet. Not sure about lando skiff as I don't think much was given away about plot lines and anything to do with jabba's palace along with the alien menagerie was kept quite secret.
Maybe one of the guys here picked up some of the palitoy rep"s paperwork from last year's auction. That might shed more light on actual release dates?

Approximate release dates are something that I've never come across. All I can establish is that one wave came out per year. I've read that they were always around May time but I'm not sure how true that is.

I'd be curious to know when the vehicles, etc came out too. I see the AT-AT often listed as being out in time for Christmas 1981 but I'm convinced it was the following year in the UK.
