I guess when it comes down to it, if you really need an item, price is not always a problem, and that seemed a reasonable price. 8)

I also collect the old Britains space toys.

Yes youre right Gary, it was a nice score as I hadnt thought about getting one in that condition

Cool items the Britains toys, are there are plenty of hard to find items with those?

Daz

yes there are, especially some of the later pieces.

i think I have almost the entire range....sealed.

But I need a definitive list to be sure.

And that seems quite tricky to find.

those britains figures take me back - I used to have the thing with the ball too :D . I think I may still have some in my loft.

My older brother has been a Britains collector for almost 30 years. I'll have a word with him and see if I can get you any info.

when I sold all my toys as a kid, my dad bought my Britains soldiers off me (Germans, US and Brits). He thought they might be worth something one day and/or be good for any future grandkids.

My Star Wars and Action Men stuff went for peanuts - if only we'd known. As it is all the grandkids play with vintage SW

My favourite Britains stuff was a boxset of Mexican cowboys my Gran bought for me one year - they were brilliant 8)

Thanks very much.

I lived and went to school very close to the Britains factory.

If only i'd known the future of toy collecting i'd have gone doewn tere and seen what stuff I could have got before they closed.

did you manage to get one in the end, just found this on ebay, looks in great condition but Ã'£145 from USA.
