Hey folks,

I try now to build the infamous Khetanna - Jabba's Sailbarge. My project is to make a "toy like" Khetanna, but also a "real" looking model. That means it will one meter long and will have several toy features (hatches, cockpit, Jabba's throne, canons, landing gear etc etc).

You can read up more about the project here:

I will also add all WIP progress pictures to that linked site.

I hope you like the progress so far.

Cheers

The clothes pegs are awesome...I just love them and they are much cheaper then little wodd clamps from the building suplies store.

I use mainly Styrene boards. 1mm or 3/4 mm thick. The material "Revell" models are made from. The cardbord was only use to the top to give this a little thickness. The main constructuion is made out of wood for stability.

I think you can see this all here:

I guess besides a few wooden parts the whole surface will be styrene. That will give him the plastic touch and feeling I want to make it "toylike" ;)

It might be a daft question but is this something you've been doing a long time, i mean do you use these skills professionally in some way?

I use pegs for tarting up some of my ESB reseals. They clamp the loose bubbles in place nicely.

Just another one - what glue do you use on these? Been using PVA for resealing as it doesn't damage the cards and dries invisible. It's not strong though which is probably better for my purposes.

Great thread. Love your work man 8)

Superb work, can't get more original than this, applaud your work buddy and really looking forward to watching the progress to the finish

Awesome stuff 8)
