No you just use the plant to get down to the right level, and hand dig from there. Even if it was true, its like looking for a needle in a haystack.

It might just be worth it if it was gold that was rumoured to be buried

same here weasel i would like to belive it but i doubt it even if something was found i doubt there would be any carded figures it would all be loose zuckuss some like that. It would all be loose figures stuff that not really going to change market value for stuff. I do really think all stuff that never sold got remelted for the plastic

20 acre site is a big site to dig up cost and machine wise

Your not wrong Ron, just to dig the whole site down 0.5 metre would take two 20t machines, and three or four dumpers, 2 and a half months. And then you've got to store or get rid of all the excavated material........

Plant hire alone is going to cost over about Ã'£125,000 just to get rid of the upper levels, and as any dump is deeper than 0.5 m you could be looking at least Ã'£200,000 for plant. There would have to be some very rare figures in that very large hole :shock:
