Kenner Tauntaun with Palitoy sticker on it

Hi guys, was going through some bits and found one of the Kenner Tauntaun boxes had a palitoy sticker over Kenner on one side was this due to been sold in the UK or something? Thanks regards

I suspect it would have been possibly due to stock shortages, things like this have been seen before, I myself have a Nien Nunb mailer which is a Kenner box but has a palitoy address label over the top, Emiel would likely know more as he focuses on boxed items.

Cool item! The early white TIE Fighters had Palitoy stickers, but never seen a Tauntaun.

Thanks Caz must have had it a few years and only just noticed today I need to be more observant lol

The Palitoy solid belly Tauntaun with stickered logo and printed logo are known variants. As Frunkstar says, the stickered version was almost certainly caused by stock shortages of the printed logo version when Palitoy wanted to get them onto the toy shelves quickly for all us former kiddie-winks to buy back in 1980!
