Kenner Star Wars Takara Stormtrooper 1978 12 back AFA 80

Hi guys, look time no speak, hope everyone is good?

recently bought a couple of figures which i reckon i did well on and one in particluar is a Takara 12 back Stormrooper graded AFA 80, any experts here tell me how much one of these guys is worth please? Thank you.

I paid £300 for mine 4 1/2 years ago. It's ungraded though.

Thanks mate, not given up but with work and everything else going on haven't bough anything for a while.....that has now changed with the addition of a few POTF graded figs....piccies to be posted

So am i reading this right, there are Takara 12 backs with Kenner figures on them?

If so it may explain a C-3PO I enquired about recently, the cardback was Takara but the C-3PO didn't have the screw in the back, or was this a scam?

Vader, 3po and stormie all had the regular kenner sculpts in addition to the japanese sculpts.

The japanese Vader sculpt has a more rounded and defined sculpt on the helmet and has a white background as opposed to the kenner vader,
with an orange background and a takara sticker.
The japanese stormie is very different compared to the kenner sculpt, as you probably know.

Oh, and the screw in the back is only on the alternative sculpt with the Japan COO. (To my knowledge...)

i can't tell which one i have guys, i have attempted to put a regular stormie next to him and the graded figure does seem a little smaller but its difficult to judge, ive even tried to match up the figures face but still can't decide. What you guys think please?

The one in your pic is the Japan COO, the alt sculpt.

See here, Japan COO on the left, bigger hips, shorter helmet, basically a female stormie :

In terms of money, the one you have commands a much higher price than the Kenner sculpt, in terms of a female stormie,
I'd say you can't go wrong with that!

The other thing I noticed with the Japan issue is that the top of the bubble always ends below the red print behind the figure. I had a hell of a time trying to work out which one I had until I discovered this. Anyway it was all for **** as mine was just a Kenner with a Japan sticker

I can't find any recent sales of the alt sculpt moc, but there was a kenner sculpt that sold on ebay for £233
last month.(I know, not much help...)
Someone more in the know than me is better suited to give you a value, as I've never even considered buying one...
