I've come up with a master plan to stop me breaking the bank whilst I continue to learn and gain experience: cardbacks. I can afford to have several focuseseses [I'm sure the plural is foci, but my spell check doesn't like it] running at once without storage or funds becoming a problem.
One of my favourite cardbacks is the Kenner ESB 48 B & C back Ackbar offer. I personally like it because of Ackbar, but assume it's also very popular for being Revenge of the Jedi. However, I've quickly noticed a problem. It's always the same characters that come up for sale. I'm noticing a distinct lack of some of the SW debut figures on ESB 48 B&C cards. I'm not even seeing examples of them in some of the incredible limelights from the super collectors of the hobby.
So, is it possible for an average collector to complete a run of ESB 48 B or C cardbacks? (Or MOCs, for that matter?) Is there a resource somewhere to indicate the relative scarcity of certain characters on certain cardbacks?
