Kenner 12 back prices

I'm thinking of putting together a set of 12 backs, becaue they look cool and I don't think I ever owned any before. They also seem to have a reasonable supply unlike the Palitoy 45 backs I thought about collecting :lol:

So what are the prices like these days? Are any of them difficult to find or particularly expensive?

hey edd, I wouldnt say any of them are extremely difficult to find except of course a 12 back jawa or dt variations of Luke, vader, obi wan but I doubt you are bothered about getting these.

In my experience I would say that the most expensive ones are usually Luke, vader and stormtrooper. These can go for anything from 200 - 350 depending on condition. I sold a vader for 225.

Easier ones to find are the cloth cape jawa and tusken raider often around the 150 mark. Tigerham has or had a very nice graded jawa for 150.

Middle of the row are figures like chewbacca and obi wan.200-250 I would say. I payed 200 for chewie.

I paid £150 for a Death Squad Commander that was very minty at memorabilia

A lot will depend if you can accept flaws too. The majority of mine aren't mint and as a result i've paid far less to get something that from four feet away looks no different from a perfect example.
Chewbacca (POP removed) £50
Leia (cracked bubble) £70
Death Squad Commander (cut bubble) £15
Han Solo (POP removed) £17

Visually the impact is just the same, and it's only when you see them up close that you see the faults, but that is something I am willing to accept.

The original 12 on offerless 20/21 backs I think are worth looking at too.

Ive never seen any consistency in 12 back prices, id defo stick to the forums tho.

I sold an AFA 80 12 back (A) vader for £555 on feebay !

Agree about condition. I bought a c3po with removed pop for £24.
Are you going back down the dark collecting route again edd?
Keep these ones in a locked cabinet.

- Han solo (still need one myself, but can't find a nice one for a decent price.)
- Vader
- Luke
- Obi wan
- Leia
- R2-D2
- Deathsquad Commander
- Stormtrooper
- Chewie
- 3-PO
- Jawa
- Tusken Raider.
