I've read this RS thread and found ppl mocking on him, but I don't know the story behind. Does anybody want to fill me in?

Basically the guy is a bit of a deluded attention seeker who has attempted a number of scams in the past two or three years.
In amongst this, he has actually got his hands on some very nice pieces and at one point gained a degree of sympathy on this site for the way he was treated by some RS regulars.
However his true colours came through and he was eventually banned from here and most other SW Forums.
He buys and sells on Ebay but his feedback is pretty poor as he has not sent out a number of items in the past.
All in all I think he is a pretty sad case and someone who epitomises all that is wrong with this hobby

Thanks for telling me. This reminds me of checking the eBay feedback next time before bidding. I barely do so and have until now not been scammed. Lucky me!
