Jawa baggie check

Hi guys

With all the talk and negativity about the Star Wars baggies lately i thought I'd check my Jawa in my Palitoy playset as was getting a little paranoid.
Well i can't get to the baggie itself as it's sealed in the larger bag which I guess is good providing that is authentic.
The sellotape looks yellow and ok but so do some of those other baggies in question.
:?

I did get this from a very reliable source.

Thanks in advance

I can't see any although there could be some underneath but I couldnt get the bag to move or turn over earlier as it's packed fairly tightly within the larger outer bag with all the other bits.
I will try to move it and get some pics tomorrow.

I bought it from Jim 3 years ago and he had owned it since the 90s so I'm hoping it's ok :?

Looks like white print along the bottom where the baggie is folded, to my mind it looks like the print says 'made in hong kong'

It's about the only part of me that still works fine

Yeah I thought it would be a SW-a but will leave it to our resident expert Frank

This is why i love this site, you guys know your stuff.
Ok not sure if having white text is a good thing or bad thing? Is it legit?
Bunglebubs is bang on, it does say Made in Hong Kong in white text.
I have taken a few more pics as managed to slide Jawa away from the cover of the instructions.

Yeah I remember Jim selling this one, it's correct SW-a but as Mike pointed out the palitoy one came with either these or palitoy one, so it's all good.

Great baggie BTW!

I assumed it would be the SW-a baggie but needed to see some font before I was happy to confirm what with recent developments being as they are.

He even drove through to my shop with his Son Andy to hand deliver as he knew I always preferred dealing in cash :p
It was always good to meet up with him and it's so sad what he's going through now.

So does the white text make it a non Palitoy Jawa sir?
Reading through earlier replies I'm guessing it should have been blue?

Be interested to hear why on this Frank?

At a guess ....would be Palitoy early on wouldn't have their own baggies, so used what was there I.e. SW a with white text, then later into 78/79 introduced the Palitoy blue Text baggies?

But it's a Palitoy piece with a recognised correct baggie, so IMO. no worries there, the SW a Jawa baggie is a Bonus  but again leave it to the Don of baggies to give you the correct explanation.

Michael, Frank and Bungle, really appreciate your input guys.

So does having a SWa baggie indicate this is an earlier release?
Kinda feel short changed It doesn't have the Palitoy baggie now

Wait whilst Frank gives his opinion mate, as its conjecture on my part, I'm a novice in the baggie arena Frank and Bungle are the experts

The SW a Jawa baggie is a very nice baggie, and if it is the case that it's simply an earlier set i wouldn't feel shortchanged bud.

If you're a baggie novice then what am i :p
I don't even like West Brom

Only footie fans will get that one.

I was only messing Michael, either way I was stoked when I bought it and happy it's all sealed and legit.
Btw do you know of any sealed examples?

I seem to recall there was a seller who had a shipping case of 6 a few years ago but wanted top dollar even then and that's whyI plumped for this one.

Baggies .....never thought of it in line with West Brom

Don't recall that .

I was lucky enough to get the Canadian Sears LOTJ Playset Which has the SW a baggie with it, mine is open but love it 8)

Have a read of the thread, some interesting stuff, and a nice Sears catalogue as I said, I'm only a novice

Many thanks for the link Michael, that was a brilliant read.
I have seen the Canadian Kenner version before but never with that Yoda offer. Are these hard to come by?
Love your set.

Loving the Sears ad too, very interesting regarding them advertising the UK Death Star for sale over the pond. I didn't realise the Americans could buy it back in the day.
Unless it was available from Canada? Yeah thinking about it maybe so, Toltoys did one after all. Did Meccano do one too?
That price though! 27 dollars. Mine cost a tenner from a shop called Billy Whites.
I remember when the conversion rate was roughly 2 dollars to the pound but even worse in 77/79
