it was a dark, cold ,stormy night......
only kidding it was middle of summer(like it always was when you were young
this is the quick story
when we were at school there were so many different gangs of friends and this craze of doing ouija boards going round
so of course everyone was trying it
this one group said their board worked a treat and to come up and have a go.so we all met up at the pit top with this board .it was a old thick chipboard like a kitchen work top ,white on one side brown on the other.
so about 5 of us got on and it started to move straight away and you could tell no one was pushing as it just seemed to glide ,i kid you not.any way still a bit unconvinced just me and my mate got on and you could tell by the look on our faces that neither of us was pushing it.
we were talking to about 3 different spirits ,asking stupid things like who was gonna win the league
any way ,some of the people there started getting freaked out and before you knew it every one was shitting them selves.so of we go to the vicar
when we got there we told him what we had done and before the prayer he told us a few things .a story of someone who after doing it was walking down the street when all his bones just broke,(didnt fancy that)
then he told us the thing that i bet kept everyone awake that night or week,he said that there is not more then one spirit just one pretending to be different spirits to get to you ,andd god has to protect us from it

i will let you work out who the evil spirit was who he was referring to as i am going to sit with our lass in front room

Stuff like that is scarier than any horror movie.

Perhaps we could turn this into a thread for real life ghost/horror stories.

Great story although I would have just legged it and not gone to see a vicar out of embarrassment !!

I always find things like that, having near death experiences, seeing ghosts etc, really hard to believe. I guess it's just cos I'm such a cynical ba*stard (and a devout atheist). I don't/won't believe them unless I actually see or experience them.

But, if I did I freely admit I would sh*t myself.
Not even sure I would have the guts to do a ouija board.

As a matter of interest Jabba have you done one since, or would you ever do one again?

Are they the sort of things that work sometimes and don't others (depending on whatever 'spirits' are about at the time, or whatever other reason people wanna give)?

Anyone else done one?

Sith, It's not part of A-level coursework is it?

I remember my mum saying she did one as a kid and i remember some kids doing one at primary school and he went mental with what happened!

Took 3 teachers to control the loopy bastard!

No, but it would probably be more interesting than the shite efforts they are handing in to me at the moment.
