I have already had a buyer neg me for selling repro weapons (they weren't - you can check the pic)

And now I have someone who purchased a figure on Friday messaging me saying he is worried because it hasn't arrived yet (it was posted first class on Saturday)

Todays message - "Hi I'm abit concerned now coz my postie has been today & no star wars figure yet & I paid for this quite a while ago now could u tell me what's going on?& when will it b here?"

Quite a while ago = 6th Feb (3 working days ago)

There is obviously a new infux of people into the hobby and this is bringing up the prices (good for me as a seller) but seemingly their expectations / knowledge is not that of existing collectors - think it is going to be a hard few months !

Ebay is getting worse. Not better unfortunately. What does he expect the ****ing thing to be drievn to his door the day after payment?!

Their are just people out there who just play the system and get away wit it!

Yes. And ebay is to blame, as usual. I have customers in far away countries contacting me 4 or 5 days after they've paid complaining that their package hasn't arrived yet. ebay provide them with a completely unrealistic delivery day estimate (which comes across more like a guarantee) so when the package doesn't arrive on that exact day, stupid customers can't understand why. And most customers are stupid.
ebay constantly inform customers that they can get there money back no matter what for any reason they like. They can return **** for any reason they like and they can leave negative feedback for any reason they like. So guess what? That's what they've all started doing.
I've got loads of negs now. Mainly from customers who's package didn't arrive and they didn't contact me.
ebay also now put a limit on the amount of negs you can request the customer change. Which is an absolutely bizarre move. I had a neg saying "Perfect thanks" and ebay said i couldn't request it be removed as i had reached my limit.

So now, i don't bother with it any more (feedback). It's a farce and when you think about it, it really doesn't ****ing matter. Nothing happens when you get bad feedback, so long as it's a very small percentage. Which it will be unless you're a scam-artist. No one will avoid you. ebay won't ban you so **** it. It's an unmanageable situation. Customers are cunts, ebay are on their side. Better just not to take part in yet another game of "**** the seller"
In a way it's empowering because now i don't even check my feedback and i don't get stressed out about it. When i get customers contact me threatening to leave bad feedback "unless…" i tell them to do whatever they feel. 8) Don't bother me none.

Yeah this reminds me where's my package Lain you said you were posting it from th USA on Tuesday, it didn't arrive this morning. So where is it?

I agree ebay sucks, every time they send me a questionnaire I give them the lowest possible score without evan reading the questions.

eBay also doesn't seem to block people from opening 'not received' cases until a reasonable amount of time has passed. Last year I had a guy open a case less than 24 hours after I marked the item as dispatched and added the tracking number! how can eBay allow this to be possible?

that's really sucks

i think talking it's the best way, but not so many people like to talk.
It's easier open a conflict and that's the point

Don't let it get you down mate. There's a certain percentage of the population that are arseholes, so there's a certain percentage of people on ebay that are arseholes. I've been buying and selling on ebay for about 10 years. Most people are fine but every now and then you get an absolute dick and you can't reason with them. I've been on both sides, it's not a matter of sellers or buyers, it's people. They prob get a kick out of being difficult, complaining and leaving neg feedback. As Pete said, ignore the ****ers

Its turned into a mockery & I have not listed anything on for months, funnily enough this actually worked in my favour for a change last week, wellmore for Todd really as the item was for him, the guy was on holiday & it was not posted for an age, no problem there & his com's were great, soon as he got back he posted the item & said he is sure I'd be very happy with it, come delivery it was packed well but when I opened it, there was a bad crease to the card which was not on it in the photo so I presume he took all that care packing it then shoved it into the box hard as the box was dink/dent free, the bigger issue was it had a gaping hole in the bubble, so I contacted them to discuss solutions (return or partial refund) I was fully expecting to have to swallow the return postage costs as well, then no contact from him at all, so I opened a case, still no contact, I asked ebay to step in & I won the case, so ended up with a free figure & refunded including postage costs, what a dick of a seller, he lost everything & also ended up with a neg & all due to not being arsed to communicate - the mind boggles :?

Chin up mate :D

There will always be idiots, chancers and downright users.

Unfortunately the more you sell, the more of these idiots you will encounter through the law of averages.
You know yourself ( your own conscience) that you are a good guy, that is a big factor in life, we all know that too, so as I say chin up and keep doing what you do despite the cretins of this world.

All the best bud :D

In late 2013 I sold a guy over on EBay called Seatwavetickets an Adidas Superstar leather jacket for £250. It was mint condition. I litterally never wore it.

Needless to say I posted the jacket out within 24 hours of payment. I also emailed the buyer and gave them the tracking number. I shipped it via special Delivey. The tracking said it was delivered within the usual 24/48 hours of postage.

So 6 weeks pass so I decide to leave feedback. The very day after I leave positive feedback the buyer opens a case saying the item hasn't arrived. I'm like WTF. The tracking number said it had been delivered 6 weeks prior. So I upload the tracking to EBAY in the open case part. The buyer then closes the case and opens another instantly saying he has now recieved the jacket and it's now not as described.

So a few days pass. I'm ****ing ripping at this point. I say to the buyer via the open case page to send the jacket back and I'll refund the payment. So a few days pass and an envelope arrives with no jacket only a bus time table from Cumbria. The ****ing bastard uploaded the trackihg number for the bus table over on the case page. Obviously I upload pics of the bus time table over on Ebay saying no jacket was returned.

Long story short EBay refund the buyer his £250 and that scum bastard kept my jacket too. It put me off Ebay for life. If I could get my hands on that **** Id rip of his head and **** down his neck just to start with.

****ing EBay Cunts.

You really ought to have phoned ebay. It's difficult to get the facts across within the case. Many a time i have called them to actually speak to someone and achieved much more.
Also, would have been important not to open the package he sent as proof that he never sent the jacket back.

Pete i didn't expect the small envelope to be the tracked parcel from the buyer. I just thought it was other mail. I was expecting a large box. I also phoned EBay. They told me to make an action fraud claim and were sympathetic but in the end it make feck all difference. Just taught me to hate EBay a bit more. Seatwavetickets had over 5000+ feedback no negs so I didnt expect any hassles just goes to show no one can be trusted over there.

Grant that is ****ing outrageous. What sort of wanker sends an empty envelope pretending it to be a jacket so they can use the tracking number as evidence? It just goes to show every transaction is a risk with a complete stranger. Thieving ****.

I've just posted this in the off topic section but after reading this mess thought that this might be a better place for it. Any help appreciated. :)

Out of interest where do you find the phone number to call ebay? I'm having a problem as I bought something the other day and then received a message from ebay saying the sellers account had been taken over by someone else so they didn't have the item. Then ebay removed the listing so that when I try to contact them about it I can't find the image of what I bought to click onto and get the phone number.

To make matters worse the person who I sent the paypal payment to has sent something from China with a tracking number. I can only image that it'll be an empty boy as the name far from matches the ebay account holders name that had been hacked.

I feel I should talk to someone about it before receiving what ever's been sent to see how I can cover myself. Life's never easy is it? :?
