Aye, probably for Ã'£1K, or some thing equally low (relative to what he is looking for it).

Hi,

I'm new to this forum but always have looked in now and again....
I am the seller of the early bird set being discussed.

This is from my personal collection and I don't really want to sell but this kinda changed my mind....

I understand it is a lot of money but it really is one of the best out there. If it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. This however should justify my BIN price.

Thanks
James

Welcome to the forum Jim/James 8)

No one on here is going to have a go at you for trying to get as much for your item as you can. It's just a lot more than most of us would spend on an item, and lets be honest it's a hell of a lot of money. It also quite an uncommon item, hence our surprise at it's price.
But, if it's worth it and you can get a buyer, fair play! :D

Good luck with the auction, and don't be afraid to post on here we're not a bad bunch.

Thanks for the wlecome, I will chip in now and again. I have been at this collecting lark for quite a while (early 90's) and when you see some pieces making big prices you gotta sit up and take notice.... I bought this early bird set ungraded in 1995.The guy I bought it from actually opened it just to see if it contained the elusive DT Luke. I only sent it away about a year or 2 ago to AFA just to basically protect it. You never know, someone may buy it, but I'll not be too bothered if it doesn't sell!

James

James you must have a few cracking pieces in your collection. Quite possible it is worth that just a bad time off year to sell stuff. What do you mainly collect

'If it sells, it sells. If not, ahhh well'
Best way to be!

So what's your focus, you'll have to post some pictures of your collection.

I had quite a large carded collection until about last year. As I am getting older  I decided to sell up most of the things I had and keep a few select pieces, just the things I liked the most. All my collection was stored in boxes and never saw the light of day. I had kenner 12 backs, 20 backs, all the usual stuff. My collection really only consists now of a set of palitoy 12 backs, AFA 80 early bird certificate, the early bird set, AFA carded VC jawa, a couple of carded droids figures (R2 and 3PO), and a few other bits and pieces. I have also a loose set which comes with the territory.....
Its now quality rather than quantity!

James

James am going the same way quality not quantity. The way i see it not point have a lot off stuff and not displaying it. Better to have less more high grade stuff. Is your palitoys 12 back all graded. Post some pics of your collection am dying to see it

awesome collection off palitoys there james do you mainly focus on loose graded. If your going to sale any off you palitoys 12 back gis a shout
Cheers
Ron
