Is this R2-D2 12 ok? no waffle pattern

This was selling on eBay. It didn't sell, so I arranged with buyer to buy outside of eBay for a deal, but still used PayPal. I am relatively new to collecting, but am learning what to look for in fakes. It's AFA graded, the number checks out for being graded in 2003. Everything looks fine, but I noticed there is no clear waffle pattern like there is on my other 12 backs. I don't know if they ALL had the waffle pattern, but can you just put my mind at rest. I've tried to photograph the bubble seal through the AFA case with the light to show the seal. Thanks.

Legit IMO.

A few examples of 'no waffle pattern' R2 12bks are around and legit.

AFA grading too confirms its real for me.

Nice one. I had look for similar thread on hear first but found nothing. I guess it's ok, unless someone else sees this thread and says otherwise.

Looks fine to me, if it was fake it would be the first ever known fake Kenner 12 back to get graded by AFA.

I think your pretty safe with this one.

Cheers man. It's just that when you see the Chinese can make a replica Rolex for £5 that an expert is needed to verify, how hard can it be to fake a bit of plastic. Just panicking a bit with my money.
