Hi Andy

I had one of these a while back, the cape was more like Pruneface's in colour. I sold mine on ebay and got just over £30, there was a small ink stain but from what I remember researching the value can be anything between £30-£50. They've been known to go for more but I think those examples are inflated due to either a bidding war or someone getting lucky on their selling price.

I dont think it's anything special just a rarer variant of colour compared to the usual darker ones, some people would even say discolouring but I'm not so sure about that.

:)

Indeed - I have quite a few that have two-tone cloaks were you can see the discolouration setting in - they look good and probably command a slightly higher price but not to that sort of level

Interesting to hear it is just discolouration, do you think it's over exposure to light or something more to do with the ink in the material :?: and why is it less common than it is :?: i must have answers

i have over 50 squids all lined up away from the sun and i have obsevered discoloration in a few of them , the hong kong green ribbed capes seem to be the most imune out of them all , although i have some lighter green ones as well . the fabric the cape was made out of must have something to do with this discoloration , they used differant fabric making these capes and maybe the color only took to some of these capes and when opened from there blister tombs and the air starts to get at them the one's with the weaker color starts to discolor

Maybe a combination of light and aging. Not a variation in my book....just time passing and the degradation that comes with it.

What book :?: you've never said that you had a book :!: would you care to share this book with us all

There are two main types of capes, they match up with the two types of skirts (one is shorter & thicker) the two belts & two wrist band colours on the figure.
