Is my Chewbacca MOC a TT?

Just noticed as well the bubble placement on Damiens' Chewy is a good 2mm higher than on mine, don't know if that means anything.

The factory sealers always places the bubble in the same place on the card, regardless of where the coloured bubble back print is on the front of the card. Whereas Toni would always centre the bubble over the back print. On some cards this gives a big difference in bubble placement 5mm and on others typically 1-2mm. In my opinion a difference in bubble placement of 1-2mm is not enough to measure accurately. So I only take bubble placement as an indicator when it is pronounced in the 5mm range.

I've always had my doubts about Vader, despite it not being on the list. There is evidence of one attempt at sealing an unused Vader 65d cardback as I have a cardback I bought from Toni in about 2009 with minimal at an angle bubble impression and iron marks on it. Adding cards to the list opens a can of worms though, and casts doubts on many more cards if we do. I looked long and hard for an example of a Vader 65d that I thought Toni had made and came up blank. Vader 65d is another card with a number of different legitimate bubble types one of which is the long thin bubble that Toni also used on Chewbacca 65d.

Hi there,

im a vintage collector for 25+ years who just returned from a 15 year break.

just last night i got a chewy 65b from another old 25+ year collector and decided to look it up on the internet and came onto this thread.

I also read up about the whole tony business. I can just say, that the Vader i have, has been in my collection for 25 years and the first owner bought it in the shop.So its not a Toytoni. It looks the same as the vader posted on here earlier.. The similarities between the chewy i have are huge. blister on exact teh same spot. same blister. same marks.

I can thus without a doubt say the ones i hold here are genuine. The placing, attachement, etc all match up. Also, there was no need 25+ years ago to fake a card. since they were not even 10pound back then.
