Is it worth me doing it?

A full guide on baggies on here in the reference section IE which figures were available in which baggies including variations in figure & baggie type/Special offer items (vehicle & play sets)/multi-packs & single figure mailers.

I would also like to put a fakes section in it so folks can learn to avoid some of the pitfalls/mistakes I have made & hopefully save some others some frustration not to mention cash along the way.

I ask as I am not sure just how much interest there is on this subject TBH as the baggie collecting is not a huge part of most collectors interest & it would take a long time to compile & would be an open ended project so to speak with me updating it as & when I find out more on the subject.

If I did it I would like for others to add items they have that are not yet within the thread so a full (or at least as full as is possible) a matrix can be built up over time, hopefully eventually I could have a web page dedicated to it if there is enough interest?.

Thoughts?

Buddy- I think you should do a book- or part of a book.

I wouldn't object a guide at all.

Respect your expertise.

Go for it, i don't collect baggies myself but i'm always interested in reference guides on any vintage star wars items. The forum is a great place to do stuff like this so other people can learn from and add to your information as the project develops, just be sure it stays fun for you to do and doesn't lead to frustration.

I'd say do a book! I'm doing one on kubricks and it doesn't look to be too hard to sort out... I'd certainly buy it! And if you need any help give me a shout! I think a lot of people would want a copy

it has to be worth doing as any reference guide to any vintage line is always a valuable resource. if youve got the time and patience go for it coz youve certainly got the knowledge

Thanks for the positive replies guys, I will give it a go then & thank you for the offer Spooky, problem with doing a book would be it would need updating & really needs to be an open ended project, a book could be a possibility, but not for a few years at least as there is just so much that is still unknown, one of the main reasons I would like to start a matrix as such that is open ended, so we can all keep adding info to it as it crops up.

I will need EVERYONE'S help on this though or it will be a none started for six as I simply do not have all the baggies, far from it, not to mention multi-packs mailers & S.O items, for that I am going to need the support of many of you.

I want to make a start but not quite sure how to do it without it becoming a muddle as it needs to be done as a thread without relies/discussion to keep it organised, a further thread on the discussion about the items & input/photos etc needs to be added on in some way :?: , is there any way the mods can sort this out?? - come on Joe I know you are watching

Frank you are the authority on Baggies. You have a moral obligation to pass your knowledge on to noobs like me. Do it! ;-)
