is it poss to just collect first 12

thinking of just getting first 12 figs .problem is when i see likes of boba fett ,,yoda other figs that hold a special memory i dont know if it will just spiral out of control and before ii know it i collecting full set again .has anyone just collected what they set out to then just stopped

First it was loose figs, then vehicles and play sets, then vintage paperwork, then ewoks and droids, then moc's (all but 1st 12 now sold), then major variants, then more variants and more and more and more.....

If anyone knows how to stop please tell me your secret !!!!!
