Ebay dried up for stuff these days, since the new charging system came in it seems there is far less listed these days.

I used to search star wars 'carded' and 'moc' and there'd be pages of stuff..not anymore.

it has been a bit quiet recently, but there have been some real bargains too

thats what i thought today

theres quite alot of crappy loose stuff there at the mo

had a lot recently with one figure having the head glued back on - described as EXCELLENT CONDITION.... even after emailing the seller he said his description was fair and anyways we got our moneys worth with the other figures in the lot... turd!

I haven't noticed much of a drop in the items I'd be interested in (if I was buying) but I have seen a few go very cheaply. It may be there are still people selling, just not as many buying.

I haven't bought much this year on ebay and the majority of what I have bought has been presents or stuff for other people. Like many I'm not chasing that much stuff anymore due to collections or runs filling up and scaling down in the items/lines that are collected.

The Star Wars section is down 30% in items listed after the latest promotion came to an end on Sunday. Years ago these promotions came up about once every 3 months, now they come up forthnightly - another 5p listing day this Thursday. I also don't remember getting as many £10 or £5 vouchers to use on ebay/paypal checkout. All signs of a company trying to keep people interested.

With the new seller rules and the overall cost of ebay and paypal fees (you now have to offer paypal!) I think many people are put off. I haven't listed anything since the new rules came in and I'm going to see what happens - maybe a 5p listing day I would list some expensive things or a free listing day would list some items but that would be about it. Watch the number of Star Wars items go up at least 30% this Thursday.

I've done most of Star Wars collecting through US forums such as JediDefender and ToyTraderz this year and that represents are far better deal for both buyer, seller and trading items.

Bargains still to be had though, I just recieved my 'last 17' General Lando in the post, no cape but original weapon and in excellent condition with not a mark on him..£3.60 including postage :D
