Is dark matter, the force?

I think if it binds the galaxy together, then it must be.

Does Dark matter exist on earth or is it only outside our atmosphere and in the cosmos?

Grant, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything

Dark matter behaves in a different way to normal matter, normal stuff is classed as Baryonic matter ( there you go Barry so your involved!)
The fundamental aspect of this matter is the atom, then smaller still to subatomic particles, like protons, neutrons and electrons.

Dark matter doesn't absorb or emit light or other forms of energy that can be measured, but it's there because it exerts gravitational forces.
Baryonic matter equates to around 4.6 per cent of the universe, and scientists have studied to show that dark matter adds up to 23 percent of the universe, dark ENERGY makes up the rest :shock:

So is dark energy the force :?:

But it actually binds galaxies.

Which to me says- yes, it is the force.

I want to believe

Dark matter and energy, and the greatest minds are only scratching the surface on the complexity of dark matter, it's origin and its effects.


A simple question like what is wind and why does it blow has an answer

What causes the wind to blow?
As the sun warms the Earth's surface, the atmosphere warms too. Some parts of the Earth receive direct rays from the sun all year and are always warm. Other places receive indirect rays, so the climate is colder. Warm air, which weighs less than cold air, rises. Then cool air moves in and replaces the rising warm air. This movement of air is what makes the wind blow.

But we take it for granted and in the main don't ask the questions.

I would love to believe that dark energy is like the force and binds everything, but I'm not intelligent enough to understand the physics of it all,


So in answer to your question.....until proven otherwise....dark matter is the force just need to learn how to manipulate it now :lol:
