Interesting AFA grade

I know these things are subjective, but I've recently had a Boba fett 77 back graded by the AFA. Now bear in mind, I've seen cards with pop's removed get not disgusting grades, I though my card which has maybe two (not overly noticeable) spider creases getting a 60 was pretty harsh, especially as the bubble and figure were 85 and 90!!!!. On the plus side, my Palitoy 20 back Death Star Droid did get an 80 so it's not all bad.

Wrong section I know, but any idea on values of the 2 now. Keeping DSD, but wondering whether it's worth selling Boba now really......shame.

Bugger! That is a shame. I have a couple of cards I wouldn't mind sending, but they have one or two minor flaws and I'd be concerned they get marked down severely because of them.

I couldn't be sure, but if you're thinking of selling an otherwise good condition (but lowly grade AFA) card, perhaps you might get a better price busting it out of the case?!

Not a bad shout actually, as it's never a 60. Don't be too put off to send yours though. The DSD is by no means perfect and has a couple of bits and bobs here and there. I would have picked it as an 80 in truth, so by that regard it's quite satisfying.

Plus getting them back is (sadly very dorkily) exciting. Kind of like you have contributed to it's current good state (though that's mainly in money!!!........)

I'd break a 60 out of its case if you're looking to sell as it'll make a big difference to value.

The DSD sounds very nice. Not too easy to find those either 8)

Post some pics of the Boba. It may be AFA have made a mistake in giving him a 60 for the card, if so you can always send it back or even contact them now and ask them why it graded so low.

Now if you'd posted this on RS there would be 207 people crawling all over the thread arguing about AFA! :roll:
