Here are my first 2 refurbs...

1) R5-D4 - New replacement sticker.
2) AT-ST - This was part of 1 of my loose bulk buys (cheap vehicles for repair) It was a mess so I took it all apart, cleaned it and re-built, added a few lost parts and put on a set of replacement stickers. The worst part was straightening the legs as they were quite bent. A little bit of gentle heat and placing it between to blocks I made to fit the legs, and they came out quite well. It has some yellowing to some of the outer edges of a few parts but I new the vehicles wouldn't be in the greatest of condition.

I have quite few more vehicles to refurb but it will take some time before they are all done. Will post better photos soon and more as and when I do them.

the aTST looks nice mate, good cleaning job!

I personally stay away from replacement stickers or repro weapons but each to their own and if they make you happy then awesome!

its a project aswell so i guess nice once completed

this reminds me to put my training ball on my falcon :) still aint got round to it!

Thanks guys,

The whole thing that got me into it was a wrecked Falcon and the idea of restoring old wrecks to something better appealed to me.

I have bought a few vehicle bulk buys with a view to restoring them in whatever way is needed. The cost of each vehicle came to around £4 or £5. I've then looked to see how ecconomical they are to restore, most of them even with buying replacement parts (most have been original although a few have been reproductions due to the cost/rarity of the parts) still only come to 1/2 to 2/3s of the prices on ebay.

For my own collection they will be good, not everyones idea of how to collect I know, but it's the enjoyment of taking something that is ready for the bin and breathing new life into it.

Will see how it all goes in the future :)

cool, as long as you are happy with them, thats most important, would be cool to show to us before and after shots of your renovations.

I thought about that after I'd completed this one. In future the one's that are bad I will take photos, the one's that just needed a good wash will just be posted up as complete.

My Slave 1 is a kind of green, I take it that it should really be grey?

yeah a grey/green in all fairness pal, so yours probably aint too far off, i personally prefer replacing stickers on vehicles than on the droids, there are some i would love to change but just cant bring myself to do it, plus my ATAT still doesnt have the big orange on its head!

I think that's a good thing to do Imperial gunner. A lot of these toys would get binned if they weren't repaired. When its you doing the repairs, it must make the collecting more worthwhile.

Original stickers would probably cost more than any of the toys
