I have a liking for this figure too...

I think it's pretty well known that I have a bit of a liking for the first 12 Han Solo (aka big head Han or of course Pin head Han), he's not a cheap figure to collect and in fact he's come as far as I can see for a while at least. I'm missing a handful of Kenner MOC to complete his run of numbered cardbacks and simply can't justify the cost of the foreign MOC options... so...

I have in the background been pulling together a secondary focus over the past 12 months or so. I have today, for the first time pulled together the whole lot in one picture. Not sure I have missed anything I have, but I expect there will be something I've forgotten.

So here you go, my tribute to the unsung hero of the rebellion, the Hoth Rebel Soldier:

To be fair I kinda fell into it really.

I completed the 'all playsets and vehicles' run a while back, so a big chunk were part of that (though I now display them together in this run). I then found Ross Barr's big pick (not to be confused with Chris Fawcett's) where he had a bunch of MOCs with the POP removed, I went after the Han's, but was too slow, I then went after the Hoth Rebels as there were two of this run in there to add to the ESB, Jedi and Tri-logo I already owned. The Palitoys have come up at very low sale prices; the Palitoy logo one was sealed with a load of sellotape and gunk, I cleaned it up and resealed it.

I'd like to add a POPY (bit in love with those things having got a both Han) and a Dark Brown variant as time, funds and availability all come together.

Oddly enough, I too like this figure, but never thought of doing a run of it. To be honest, I didn't realize you could get him on so many cardbacks and boxed goods. Looks fantastic

Wow, seriously cool secondary focus. The Hoth battle is the defining moment in ESB for me so seeing so much Hoth goodness is a treat. I'll be honest, I always found him a bit of a boring figure, but when you have all this Hoth stuff together he feels.....at home! He does more than fit, he defines.

Epic run. Look forward to seeing a dark boots MOC sometime

Cheers guys! I'm actually really enjoying this one. Not that I don't enjoy Han, but this is a different challenge and as mentioned it is from my favourite film of the OT, so there is loads of great packaging images to embrace, let alone that wonderful ESB logo!

It's great seeing this type of side figure get some love. Now you need to do a Snowtrooper focus to compliment him... then you'll want to do a whole Hoth focus! It'll be amazing
