Ok I will give you a little of the history of this first.
As some of you will know, I sold off allmost all of my collection a few years ago but I still had some odds and sods kicking about.

Which leads me to the next part.
I started recollecting a few months ago and got a bit carried away (well very very carried away to be honest!!) and started buying everything I could.
Well to put it bluntly I was spending way more than I could afford!
So I decided to stop buying everything I could and to slim down what I had already bought so I could just focus on the core figures.

One of the figures I sold was a Dt Luke. I bought the figure from somebody on this board (so I feel very guilty at the amount it sold for, as it was not my intention to make money, just get back what I paid for it ).
The figure I bought only had the outside barrel but I had an inside sabre left in my bits and bobs pile from my previous collecting days.
I had allways assumed the sabre was probably a repro but though it looked good on the figure.

When I put the auction on eBay I was still not 100% sure so I wrote on the auction I did not believe it to be original.
A day after the auction started I was able to compare it to an afa Dt Luke and prompty added to the auction description that I could confirm it was NOT an original inner sabre.

Here is the auction. Please be honest with me if you think it comes across as me saying the inner sabre is genuine. After I have a few of you responses I will post the rest of the story.

Clear here as well, you went into detail on the question also.

If someone bid with 10 seconds to go without reading and complained.. lol

Clear if you can read :)

So here is the rest of the story....
The buyer received the figure well over a week ago (I know this because I sent it via international recorded delivery) and didn't leave any feedback , which I thought was a bit odd.
Then today I received an email from paypal (NOT EBAY!!) stating that the figure was not as described and he wanted a full refund.
It turns out he had sent it to afa for grading and they rejected it (i wonder why!!!).
What I believe is:

A: he is a retard who obviously bids on figures without looking at the descriptions.

B: he is a chancer. I think that once he realised what he had done that he would send it to afa and hope they graded it anyway.

The worst bit of it is, because he claimed through paypal not eBay then they took the money out of my account as soon as he made a claim!! As there was no money in my account it means I cannot use paypal untill this matter is sorted out as I now owe Paypal money!!

I don't have a problem naming and shameing him. His eBay I'd is

bobradical

I had a problem with paypal a few months back and they were not very helpful.

Here's what i did, close down your paypal account! I told them i was going to do this as i was unhappy with their service.
Open a new one with a different email address and carry on!
When they refused to lift my account freeze i did this and they have no idea. I put an initial in the middle of my name to differ it from the original account. I've now even changed back my email address to the previous one. It's a bit of a loop hole. At first i used a different debit card but then changed it back as i don't think they can trace me through that either.

Obviously, first off i would message them and explain that the buyers claim is fraudulent and if that doesn't work, try the above.

I can't actually use this link because I have totally forgot my rs user name and password. The last time I was on there I upset a few people because I don't agree with their 'mightier than thou' bullying tactics when they pick on people.

It's things like this that bloody annoy me!

You have quite clearly stated the inner sabre is not genuine,
It's now a complete balls ache for you to sort this out.

Hope you get this resolved bud.

So do I. I spoke to one of the paypal advisers and she said EVEN IF they decide in my favour it will still take upto 30 days for the debt to be lifted from my account!! So they can take it out in an instant but it takes a whole month to put it back in????? WTF???
I am loosing what little faith I had left in eBay!! :(

I feel for you - what a twattish bidder. As Pete says, close the account and start again

Ah nuts two foot, it was a clear description by you and if i was paying big whack and was gonna send it to AFA i would ask even more questions so as far as i am concerned you did all you could to be upfront.

on the otherhand i recently bought some weapons from bob on RS and i found him to be nice, i have had a few close calls on ebay that could have turned nasty but with a little communication everyone was happy :D

sling him a mail and explain your side camly and if he doesnt reach an agreement then you can go back to him get your figure and avoid him.

Since when have paypal refunded a buyer even if the seller doesn't have any money in their account? That's never happened to me!

And yes this is very bad luck. What a tool.

I did wonder why he went through paypal and not eBay. And then once I realised they had already taken money out , the penny dropped!
Obviously he has done this kind of thing before and knew he probably wouldn't get what he wanted through eBay. I didn't even realise you could claim directly through paypal.

Have you sent him a message via Ebay to ask what the **** his problem is?
Just rejoin RS & post him up in the Watch out section

"I do not believe the tip to be genuine as it doesn't look or feel right" " I can confirm the inner tip is not genuine" You took decent pictures the inner saber is not long enough- why send it in to AFA ???

these days ebay passes you straight over to Paypal so there's nothing odd in dealing with paypal rather than dealing with eaby

Has he sent back the figure?

I agree - post a 'watch out' about him on RS. 'XXX stole my money.' We'll all chime in  He posts on there regularly so should have some damaging affect.

No he hasn't sent the figure back.
I am trying to get my rs login details back. I know my username and have contacted the mods to get my password.
