I am worried sick

Hi all, not been on for a few days.

Bloody shocking developments guys, my 12 year old daughter is seriously ill in hospital & has been rushed to the Alder hey specialised paediatric unit in Liverpool (nuro surgery department) for extended sinusitis (swollen sinuses), had one operation for it which has taken the swelling down which is good, as she looked like she had gone a round with Tyson, her right eye was almost totally closed up, but sadly they found another build up off puss between the outer membrane of the brain & her scull on a MRI scan, they have been hitting her with heavy duty antibiotics for 4 days via I.V to try to reduce it, but a 2nd MRI scan today shows the build up now to be 3 times the size it was.

They are going to operate again tomorrow, but they will have to remove a section of her scull to remove the build up & replace the section with a metal plate, TBH I am shitting my pants guys.

& all this started from a simple cold bug she had a few weeks back, its been a really tough few days I can tell you.

Jesus mate - I am sure all will be OK but understand how worried you are - especially as it is all out of your control - obviously I am sure I speak for everyone on here when I say we wish your lass all the best and if there is anything we can do then just give a shout

I am sorry to hear this and hope it all goes ok for you all.

I can understand how you feel from an outsiders perspective because my missus is a child nurse and some of the stories she tells me (in confidence) are truly awful,however mate it is worth noting just how talented the doctors/nurses/surgeons are these days and that should provide you with some faith..

I have three kids around the same age. I would be ****ing out of my mind for that to happen. Hopefully it's just a severe sinus issue and it can all be solved. My prayers are with you and your family.

Im sure she will be home before you know it dude. I know you are going through the ringer, but im sure she will be out and fleecing everyone for sympathy presents real soon (I had a similar experience that led to a large collection of micro machines)

Frank all the best mate, this is all so upsetting to hear. So many of the SWF crowd are having a tough time of things it's really quite hard to believe it's all happening at once.
