Over the last 24 hours I've been witness to a lot of genuinely nice actions and just this morning a pretty twisted one.

Queuing up for the "opening ceremony" of the Disney store yesterday the staff did a whole set piece of asking the waiting public to use the Force to open unlock the door to allow entry. This was obviously all done for kids but the whole line consisted of guys in their 30s and 40s but do you know what even though it was a bit cringy playing along everyone did it (ok maybe it was because we were big kids) because it would have been really embarrassing for the poor member of staff that was told to go through with it if we had just stared at them.

In the all the shops we visited yesterday people we polite, even when the doors opened and everyone headed straight for the figures there was no pushing or grabbing. Everyone took the time to be polite and ask if you were buying for yourself our family - advice was given on where to try next. Seen people on here offering to post out figures they have doubles of at cost instead of selling them for a nice wee profit on ebay

The staff at my local Asda have been especially good, the woman that manages the toy aisle has been a real star and even called me a couple of times to let me know when new stock was arriving so my and my quine could get round there quick. She gave my daughter a load of Rebel posters and wall hangers that were getting changed over ready for Force Friday and she called last night to say they had a big cardboard display with shelves that was meant for the new TFA figures but as they had no room we could have it and to pop round in the morning............

Was all put to one side with a note but during the night a young girl who is leaving next week decided to smash it up as "geeks are just stupid" so when I went round the poor woman only had the damaged parts left(that she had pulled out the skip) to give me - she was so upset and angry that the girl had been such a ****. Took me ages to calm her down.

So on balance there are more nice people out there - just a shame about the c*nts!

Really unfortunate that there are idiots like that about, but it's the way of the world.
I've found that if you try and do the right thing, even if bad things are happening around you, you in yourself can rest your head on the pillow safe in the knowledge that your not a tosser
Good things will come around.

Some people are just nasty because they know (or think) they can get away with it. Sorry to hear the stuff that was put away for you and your daughter was ruined, don't let it get to you and perhaps buy the ASDA lady some flowers to say thanks anyway, it might make her day and put a smile on her face - something she was trying to do for you guys.

Good grief :( Sorry to hear that Colin. Bet that lady felt absolutely terrible. Nice idea from Joe 8)

Joe I thought exactly the same -
I had offered to buy her a wee thank you, she initially resisted and said she wasn't allowed to accept anything so I suggested I catch her when she finished work this afternoon. Bought her a bottle of wine and ran her home (found out she lived about two miles away from the store) she was delighted with the wine and over the moon with the lift as she could take home some heavy shopping for a change.

You guys hit it spot on - forget the ned and be happy that the little old woman wanted to do something nice for us :D
Had a really nice chat during the journey to her house, lovely woman.

Michael I'm in total agreement with you buddy - nice things happen to nice people :D

The lovely woman from Asda got back in touch and look what she had for me :D :D :D

We loaded it up with our Episode 7 buys and it really does look great - absolutely no idea where I'm going to put it but so chuffed to get it.
Obviously I'm going to treat her to something nice, I've arranged to run her home again but thinking I'll take her out for a bite to eat on the way to her house as a proper thank you. The world is full of nice people :D

Wow, that's awesome! Really nice of her to do that, did she order an extra one or something? Glad you are going to treat her to a meal! :)

Karma will bite that girl in the ass. With a mentality like that she'll probably get the life she deserves.

Awesome ending to a drama, Colin. What a delightful lady and what a worthless prick of an ex-employee. I hope she ends up licking toilets clean for a living. That display looks awesome. There won't be too many that survive being that big, I guess, and when it becomes "in the way" it should flatten down nicely for storage to be got out again at a later date.

And you and the Asda lady have both improved your own sense of well-being to boot :)
