How rare are Palitoy 30 backs?

How rare are Palitoy 30 backs - I love the xl palitoy logo on (I believe i may be wrong) the 30b back!

Much rarer than 12/12 backs.

The first wave of esb figures came out with a smaller palitoy logo (30A). Most of those are pretty damn rare.

Then then first and second waved of esb figues came out with the same logo size as the 12 backs (30B). Most of those are rare too.

There are a few ESB characters where 30A/30B are more predominant than the other one.

The first 20 figures came out on 30B as well. They are uber rare with a couple or 1 known or rumoured existence.

I'd say only about half the 30a's are really rare. Though of course it's all relative as compared to other cardbacks all are rare.

Of the next ten to be released, probably fewer of these are rare, though it is very easy to get rarity confused with value, and they aren't the same thing.


The 30a re-releases, are tougher in General than their 30a counterpart. Luke Bespin is certainly very Tough, and I'd never seen a HRS or HH 30b before they appeared on eBay earlier this year. But WBG is far more common on a 30b than 30a. There is no real pattern that I can spot.

Finally of course comes the SW characters. These are as everyone knows extremely rare. Though Luke X-wing seems to show up in good numbers. I've tracked about 4.

I'm sure somewhere is a discussion on 30 backs, with a possible rarity order.
