How rare are DT Vader and Obi Wan?

An AFA graded DT Obi Wan just turned up on RS, asking for $8500. Comparatively is a DT Vader more collectable? Anyone have a rough idea of how many of each are out there?

there is some kind off a list in a thread on RS, with some pretty good geuss-timations, but i do know that Obi is by far more rarer then Vader.
I remembder a loose DT vader could be picked up on the forums for 1000-1400 usd, now you have to triple that amount... :shock:

A DT stands for Double Telescoping where the saber was in two pieces. The inner went inside the outer piece. They were redesigned very early on to cut down on costs.

The Ben is harder to find then Vader per AFA graded pieces. Plus Ben's DT saber was made with really cheap plastic and has been known to fall apart with handling. I am not sure on the numbers but StarGeezer was right about there being a list on RS somewhere. I will see if I can find it.

Of course you can spend far less to get the desired effect 8)

I also have a blue telescoping saber but don't have a loose BK to go with it
