Paid $500 for a B wing proof about 5 weeks ago from rebelscum. Still hasnt been posted as yet. Asked the guy twice and he says it'll be posted this week.

Have to say im a little worried as this is a lot of money for me.

Any advice on guys

In my opinion anything over a week after you have sent payment is starting to take the piss.

5 weeks is just absolutely ridiculous. If I were you I would want some sort of a discount!

Give him another week then its decision time on whether to ask for a refund.

Obviously you have probably got a feel for what the seller is like but as I said 5 weeks is beyond a joke.

Yeah, thats definatelly not accepted, 5 weeks after you made payment and thats the only reply he has? No sorry, no explanation?
Within 2 weeks.. max.., it should be posted.
There is actually no excuse for this, as a seller, if you have the time to put an item up for sale, then you should also have the time to ship the item promptlly once you have received payment.

You only have a week left before your Paypal protection runs out. Ask for a full refund NOW. If you still want it/ are happy to continue with the transaction then send the money back. If the seller does not understand this move along.

I'm with AJ log a claim with paypal, this will either force the buyer to ship the item and supply tracking info or refund the money.

5 weeks what a piss taker!!

i would send him a PM that you need to open a case with paypal to protect yourself

did you pay with a credit card? as that will offer you a further layer of protection.

5 weeks isnt good enough and i personally would ask him to refund you within 2 days or you will reverse the charge and out him on RS

who is the seller by the way?

Concur with the above comments, 5 weeks is taking the piss - I mean it's not as if it is a bulky item that'll cost $$$s to post. Get that claim in now!

Send him a polite but firm PM saying that if it's not sent within 3 days, you will be filing a paypal claim. He doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Yes i'd open a case right now (if you didn't pay by gift). We've had this before on RS. Seems a semi-common practice to take people's money and not bother sending out their item till you feel like it. Personally i think anything more than 3 or 4 days is an outrage. I'd have got my money back after 2 weeks and told the guy to go **** himself and named and shamed him. Not on.

As the others have said 5 weeks I way beyond a joke. I feel bad having people's money for 3 or 4 days (inc a weekend) and not posting something. Five weeks is pathetic. I have heard a few sellers can be like that on RS. The attitude seems to be that you should be glad they decided to take your money and just be happy that they find sufficient time in their busy lives to ever send your item out. Sad.

As the others have said, drop him a PM explain you're running out of time for a PP claim and if he hasn't replied in 2 days, get that claim in. Alternatively, if you've decided you no longer want the item, get the claim in, call him a **** and flame him. He won't have a leg to stand on, but I still expect some on RS will come to his defence

That's outrageous and not on, not even a decent explanation or an attempt to apologise :x

Put the claim in now, they've had enough time to resolve this. Then send him a pm explaining why you've had to do it.

Are there not selling guidelines on rs, like a thread or something?

Whichever way this gets resolved I would be upfront an honest when leaving feedback, other buyers have the right to know.

I do hope this gets resolved favourably.

That's crazy 5 Weeks!!!!! I live in ny & most of my buys come from over seas and I get it in a week  dude if I was you I would file a claim ASAP! To me I think he's trying to drag it out until you can't reverse or get your money back. You never know :x

Reminds of that one on RS that people have been waiting to ship now for what 3 years? or something like that........oh wait he is a respected author and I have no stake in it....so my opinion is ****.

He posted yesterday from the states. Hopefully i'll have it soon

That can take a couple weeks and if it does not show...you time for a claim is up.

I was gonna say something similar. That's why i would have opened a case without further contact with the guy. Then close it if/once it arrives.
Hope it arrives.

I'm with Pete and Andy.

Did you get a tracking number or is it his word that he's posted it?
