I wonder how long it will take before there are no mint on card left. What i mean is with every 1 sending there mint on card away to be graded and all the bashed card getting send off to be uncirculated graded and jabba taking a very small percentage of card. Will it be 5-10 years or longer before you dont really see any mint on card ungraded left.

If Jabba has his way it'll be sooner rather than later, and all the figures will be in his house!
No doubt we'll start seeing a lot more bubbles falling off cards as well, after all the oldest MOC's were made in the late 70's!

People get their mint cards graded as one day they will sell them and a high grade adds a lot of money to their investment. Most of the ungraded ones will belong to collectors who either don't like AFA or have no plans to sell them such as Sith Smith !!

i dont think many buy to make profit as you would proberly get the same if you stuck a big wedge of cash in bank anyway

What I mean is the value between identical quality MOC's goes up greatly once it has been AFA graded. If you spent say Ã'£500 on an AFA 90 graded figure and broke it out of the case it's value would probably plummet to Ã'£250 - Ã'£300 !!

i get your point.but what does it cost to send a item including customs and that on to the Ã'£300 then what would be the interest on that over some years would there be much difference.
plus i get a feeling that when all of our generation has died will any one collect them

"if i win lotto i would buy a million pound worth of carded figures and open the lot just for laugh"

hahahahahaha......
