hi all, i have decided to try and complete the set of general mills 45 back empire mocs..
i am at a lowly 6 at the moment ! but have only been collecting them since new year
and was wondering if its still possible to complete?
also would it look wonky if i mixed 'b' and 'c' backs together?

personally i think i've bitten off too much but you never know!

anyone got any spares?

Hi mate.

ToyToni had, or still has **** loads of these. They're all case fresh too. I reckon you could eventually get most of them. Do they all exist on GM cards though. I've never seem a Luke Farmboy or a Fett.
Good luck on the run.

Hi Mrgobby, I am unsure of a definitive list but I compiled a list of carded General Mills that passed through AFA's hands a while back for Edd - http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=8222

Hope it helps a little and good luck on your quest!

thanks all...all contributions/comments are of help...

i have ben kenobi and a meccano jawa...maybe if i combined the two....?????

is there a market for jawas with plastic capes?

(ps; this is my attempt at humour,i dont think i could do it! but i do have both)

hi if you go to my website toytoni.com you will find a good selection of GM german carded figures - esb white luke and fett definitely were issued as i have many cardbacks including those and esb dengar,4 lom, snaggletooth, luke x ,hoth trooper

I tried for a full set but gave up after a while, I think I got to about 5 or 6. There are a few that are easy/relatively cheap to pick up, but a lot that never show up, so it's quite frustrating as you make good progress and then hit a will.

Never seen the ToyToni website before. Where is he based? European somewhere I'm guessing?

He just posted his website address a few posts above here.... :p

Hehe my post was confusing now I read it back (after work pint ...)

What I was wondering was where he was actually based cos if it's the US then it's more difficult with customs etc., but the prices are £ so I was guessing uk/europe 8)

I'm trying to do this run in cardback form:-

P1020900.jpg

On ESB I need Dengar, Lobot and Zuckuss which are all pretty rare.

There are also some uber rare ROTJ cards. These were used as replacements for palitoy cards.

Here's the front:-

palitoy45cg_front.jpg

And the back with the palitoy sticker applied. You can see the german text poking out at the bottom of the card.

palitoy45cg_back.jpg

Boba Fett, Imperial Tie Fighter Pilot and Cloud Car Pilot are also known to exist but again are uber rare.

This is the best guide for rarity out there:-

http://www.raumhafen.de/cgi-bin/showp.pl?pic=/galerie/starwars/sw/esb_45back_d&titel=German%20ESB%20Figures

Toy Toni has a pretty large haul of MOC that he has been selling for many years now. I've had a couple of palitoys and German 2-1B MOC from him over the years.
All of Toni's stock is the first card type without the "collect all 45" writing on it. All of the MOCs out there are of this type as he has been selling them for so long.
All my cardbacks are of the second type with the "collect all 45" writing present.

Good luck with your quest!

:)

Hi

I'm also focussing on the German 45-back cards for about a year now. Mainly it's part of my childhood as those genuine 45-backs were sold when here in Germany back then.
Currently I'm at 10 pieces and waiting to add some from ToyToni which are said to be top notch.

Problem is they don't show up very often, not even in Germany and if, they usually come from Pro sellers in UK or US - meaning prices are high.

Apart from that, the content at the link to Raumhafen http://www.raumhafen.de/cgi-bin/showp.pl?pic=/galerie/starwars/sw/esb_45back_d&titel=German%20ESB%20Figures from my little experience is pretty accurate about rarity. Though many people just don't know about ToyToni's stock. This lead to people overestimating, effectivly doubling, the prices they asked for their mocs.

I have not been activley looking for them with WTB-classifieds but managed to gather the most common in a few weeks last year.

Let's hope we're lucky finding the rarer ones :)

Thanks
Ingo

I've only been collecting them for about 4-6 weeks and so far have :
Luke farm boy(sadly a reseal)
Ben kenobi
Han solo
2-1b
Stormtrooper
At-at driver..

I also have a seriously mint 32 back? Ig88..which I might put up for sale/swap for GM 45 back...
