Booked mine in January and paid for it all by March.
I think the price rises at the minute are a combination of airlines sticking their prices up because of higher fuel charges (even though aviation fuel is VAT free) and the Euro being so strong against the Pound, meaning hotels abroad are now more expensive for us Brits.
