High Res Backdrops

Hi guys,

Not sure if this should be in the reference thread, but I am looking for some High Res back drops for a little project. I don't actually want anything in the pics, eg. Luke's House, AT-ATs, Yoda's House, Vehicles or Figures, just a nice backdrop that is scenery. Here are the ones I am looking for:

Tattoine

Hoth

Death Star Hallway

Endor

Dagobah

Any help would be very much appreciated!!

Hey Bram,

Tattoine, Endor and Hoth should all be fairly easy especially if you don't want any of the props from the film included as these are basically just Desert, Forest and alpine photos.

Dagobah and Death Star will be a little tricky I'd imagine, might be an option to do a screen capture from the actual film but not sure how High Res you need them to be.

Yeah, I figured as much, I have been doing google searches but as yet turned up nothing much.

I just figured someone may have some good ones saved... I did find them a while back but didn't log them

I've got a very nice TV, do you think it will be okay? Won't there be reflections??

That is, if that's what you mean??

no mate, play it on your PC and press the PrntScr button, it will take a nice snapshot of the screen and save it in your copy cache, paste it into mspaint and save it as a hi-res jpeg.

there is a lot of free tools that take screenshots too.

Yep, looks good to me, you can then tweak it in a paint app like paint.net or gimp, both free.

There are sites that have printable backdrops. Someone on here gave me links ages ago. They were pretty good. Only thing I would say is try and print them in matte if that's possible. Glossy looks rubbish IMO
