Silly question, why can't you contact AFA & see if you can trade using their name? I think you would get a whole load more business & you will be well established straight away. I know for a fact that lots of collectors in the UK & Europe would love there to be an AFA grading facility in Europe. So why not the UK? : )

They were supposed to open a London office about 2 years ago, but the idea seems to have fizzled out. It's not really a service you can franchise as the service they offer is alla matter of opinion, and unless that person is well respected (as in the case of AFA) then the grades bear little weight.

UKG are doing a good job, but it will be a while (if at all) that their service adds to confidence/price like AFA does.

I think it was more than 2 years ago that AFA London was discussed. Shame it never came about cos I have items I've love to get graded but I ain't sending them over the pond and back!
