Hi everyone
I am new to the forum, but I have been a Star Wars fan and collector for as long as I can remember.
I am from Chesterfield in Derbyshire in the U.K and I run a local area website which also contains
my online shop from which I sell collectable items of all kinds...not just Star Wars.
The items I collect and keep for myself are those which originate from the 70's/80's. I have several rare items and I have still got mint on card original figures from the era (Not the re-carded ones that seem to be popping up everywhere) As well as mint on card figures, I still have a boxed and unopened Millenium Falcon, AT AT, X-Wing and Y-Wing fighters. The Falcon was one of the first series to be released and it is my prized possession above anything else I own.
I go to collectors fairs quite regular, but I am extremely fussy with what I buy. Unless it is in original condition or has some unique selling feature, I won't buy it.
As far as my older items collection goes, there is no way I will part with any of it. So this being a collectors forum...please don't ask me to sell anything
The reason I have managed to get hold of much of my original era collection is because my parents used to run a toy shop when I was a child. When they retired, I was given a lot of things and they sold the rest off. I consider myself quite lucky to have it all now and I guess I have my parent to thank for it otherwise I would now be spending a fortune trying to get hold of the same items!
